I thought of getting it but considering Blizzard games never go down in price until LOTS of years have passed, I left it for a further time. Besides, I need to put a stop to my compulsive buying behavior; I don't even have the time to play all the shit I buy and this needs to stop.
I mean I bought Star Ocean 4 for fuck's sakes.
While I know that Blizzard games supposedly always make very clever and efficient use of a system's capabilities, I'm still not sure my old PC can do justice to Diablo III, so I think it will go on my "to get once I get a new PC" list of games alongside Starcraft II

Sounds like you shouldn't really be playing a game like this right now.
Fuck yes! I have it being delivered. The collector's edition. Can't wait!
Example of not knowing that when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging:
"...it's not that we're dumbing the systems down, so much as we're changing the balance..."
- Diablo III lead technical artist Julian Love on claims the game has been dumbed down.
What he said. Except for the Starcraft part.
Looks like Square has high hopes for Tomb Raider next year (look at western slaes projections overall compared to Japan).
This has been kind of bothering me. Over the last year there's been a lot of comments from the developers about the game being changed, tweaked, made easier, etc. While I'm not super concerned because I can't image these guys would be giving Diablo 3 anything but the utmost care, I can't help but worry a little. I've gotten a feeling that the game's release has been rushed, and with the PVP play not being available at launch doesn't make that feeling go away.
I was making a cheap shot, I also can't imagine Blizzard not giving Diablo III their closest attention. I'm sure once it's in the hands of players all will be apparent -- there was similar (even more) concerns about Starcraft II before it came out.
Bugsy, looks like Max Payne is getting good reviews. What is your take on this non-Remedy MP3 (yes that is how I saw it annoying abbreviated today). Are you excited, ambivalent?
Tomb Raider is delayed until 2013? Okay, that's the other game I was considering getting this year. No Bioshock. No Tomb Raider. Me =
Raven you're going to have to find something else to get behind. Who knows, maybe a new game will be introduce at E3 (and actually launch in 2012), that'll catch your interest.
I would get behind Pikmin 3, but then I'd have to buy a Wii U.
That's terrible Steel.
I can't speak for Diablo, but people still make the same complaints about StarCraft II, largely because StarCraft was so dated and cumbersome in its interface and controls that it naturally enforced a significant learning curve and high skill cap. You could only select 12 units at once, for example.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileWow that is rough. Sorry to hear it Steel. Unbelievable that diabetes can still go undiagnosed. Scary as hell.
Qurious more than anything (so I guess ambivalent). I will be pleased if it turns out well but as far as I'm concerned it's practically a new series. Really don't see the connection or similarities to the first two games from screenshots. Even the title character looks like a different person

So everyone can get a better understanding of my thoughts on witcher 2. Here is what I posted in GS:
Part of why I am not jumping around for this game is the combat which is strange cause it is cool and different. Here is what I feel when I am in combat, if I play smart I can usually get by with little to no problem, in fact I can simply slash repeatedly with little to no issues. When I say play smart I mean, always use crowd control, use my spell to trap my opponents, shield properly, etc. As long as I do the same steps in almost every fight I have been able to get by just fine. That is where in lies my problem, it actually gets a bit repetitive cause the same strategy works on basically everything so far. Only when there are big crowds do things get ugly and I feel the combat really isn't suited for big battles, it results in a lot of me running in circles setting up traps cause if you try to stand and fight you get murdered in an instant.
So I have been basically just been doing the same thing every fight (outside of scripted bosses of course) and its been working well for me, too well, to the point where I wish an enemy would force me to do something else. I am playing on hard BTW. When compared to something like Dark Souls I see this game being much weaker, Dark Souls has much more variety and depth to its combat. I really had to think and really felt my skills as a gamer are needed in Dark Souls. In this game I feel like I am just playing into a system that has no advanced play. When I say advanced system I mean something like say Batman where the basic combat is simple but you can go into a whole different level of skill when you go for combos and score, I dont see that here.

I am like level 21 in that new area of chapter 2 and i just got the final skill on the sword tree. I am so overpowered it seems. I dont even have to block anymore, I spin like a whrilwind slashing everyone around me and then I get that super finisher that kills everyone. Another thing, it takes too long to go to different place. I am running back and forth constantly, I feel I do that more than most things in this game. But the game is so beautiful! Breathtaking locations and interesting situations where choices really matter. I think it needs help in some areas of the combat and on little things that I mentioned way back

Now I am invincible, right when the fights are tough again. How long did this glitch last you Jbul. This is so annoying. I had to stop playing cause I got stuck against a mage that is untouchable, I guess I need magic but my magic is glitched too. Yay game breaking bugs... hopefully a reload fixes it.
Interesting, but it basically boils down to you hating the game, no?
