I told everyone to play that a year ago, and now everyone is playing it.... no one ever listens to me. I'm just going to sit here alone in the dark, mumbling to myself.

I wanted to play it ever since you recommended it, but never got it up until now. So in a way, I did listen to you, only a year later.

Wait, are you my wife?

I played a little bit of Oblivion tonight. Third-person view sucks, and the combat feels so old.  Is their a PC mod to enable Tomb Raider-styled combat?

PlayStation 4 Not Launching in Japan Until 2014

Remember back when a new console would launch in Japan a year before it came out here? And up to two years for other parts of the world? Yeah, not anymore ...

I actually like that Vita TV thingie. I mean, a robust library of games, both digital and card based? Playable on your TV via a DS3 for people like me who are not too keen on portables? $100? I'm fucking GAME.

I love Rayman Legends but I cant say I enjoy it more than Origins. A few things is holding it back, as I mentioned before the lack of time trials in full levels. The invasions are sweet but they are small challenges and they feel more like extensions of the challenge mode than a full level. I think having the challenge mode for months kind of took away from this game. Every challenge they throw at me, whether in the mode or in some of the games levels where you unlock those characters are just a variation of what I have already seen. I have done some of the most challenging stuff the game could offer already, I just feel I am just trying out different versions of that challenge. I am disappointed that there is only one new level in the challenge mode so far.

The main levels of Legends are fantastic but again I think Origin edges it out. There was something about the creativity in Origins plus it was the first time we experienced anything like it. The ice levels, the desert levels with the floating worm things, the big shooter levels, the levels where you bounce on food, Origins level design was so interesting. Legends absolutely has moments that rival Origins but not enough to declare it better. That said almost all of Origins is inside Legends so for anyone who has to choose one game Legends is the only correct choice.

My comparison is like comparing Galaxy 1 to Galaxy 2, both so excellent in their own way, but I do think Origins was slightly better.

I gave up on Fallout 3. Even with mods the game ended up feeling like a chore, a boring one at that. Can't give a rat's ass about the story, the whole setting is thoroughly unfun and I just can't keep going on.

Yeah, it was a bit of a grind. New Vegas is worlds better.

Somewhere here Rven asked about third person mods for Oblivion.  I don't know if there are any, but they'd be heroic if they actually worked to the extent of say, a real third person shooter.  Bethesda's idea of third person is basically move the camera back a bit and put drop a completely unrelated polygonal figure in the middle fo the screen.  Oblivion is the best of their games for this so far, but they still have a long way to go.

First person is optimal for that kind of game anyway.

The problem with Papo and Yo is that by the time I am ready to game I don't want to play a puzzle game.

Think I'll put it on hold and give Brothers a go (though that is puzzly too).  Failing that I'm going to watch TV for the first time in a couple of months (or .... hmm... maybe No More Heroes HD).

Stupid Sonic boss, I need to finish that game too.

Rambling, obvioulsy tired.

Pretty much my thoughts as well.  €100 for something that basically is a games console isn't bad.  Although you still need to buy a DS3 if you don't own one yet (like me).

With Xbox One, you can suspend gameplay and resume gameplay instantly? Um...can't you do that on every game console that has games with a pause function?
