Second Son seems to be getting some good reviews. Main complaint seems to be that they didn't deviate too far from the first two Infamous games, and that main character is a little too much of a douchebag. I certainly don't mind if it's much like the original Infamous games, but I do have an issue of playing with a character I don't like. That's one reason I didn't get into the Devil May Cry games. Well it's sitting at an 8.1 on Metacritic so that's pretty good all the same. I'll put it down on the list of PS4 games to check out eventually.
I must admit I am very interested in Second Son though the first Infamous left a bad taste in my mouth.
Really? What didn't you like about Infamous? I was pretty impressed with it. I didn't really care so much for the sequel, but that was more just because I felt it was too much of the same and I had just finished the first not too long before I started it. Probably needed some more downtime between games.
Starting tomorrow the next game will be The Guided Fate Paradox. Leo, can you give me a rough idea of how many hours I'm looking at to complete this?
Oh and I have a question for the resident Australians. Is Major League Baseball becoming popular down there? I just saw that the Dodgers are playing a spring training game at some cricket field in Sydney and I couldn't help but wonder... why? Only diehards care about Spring Training. And really only old diehards. I don't understand why they'd go down there and risk getting bit by a spider or snake or getting attacked by a drop bear.
30 or 40, depending on how much of the optional stuff you're going to do. Word of warning: Have patience at first! The structure of playing a level, story cut-scene, playing a level, story cut-scene seems kinda obnoxious at first, but then the plot gets kinda interesting and the characters start to grow on you. Stick with it!
Okay I can do that. I've got a full day of doing nothing this weekend and I plan to take full advantage of it. I can be patient, just so long as I have beer.
I felt the original was much of the same. The missions really seemed a little mundane to me around the halfway point.
Every few years they try to make a mainstream baseball league and need some gimmick to get it off the ground. Every few years they fail.
A man after my own heart. I found Infamous repetitive and unengaging, but above all, boring.
You people, next you are going to tell me Witcher 2 is one of the best RPGs of last gen.
Lets wake this place up.
Its march madness lets do a giant bracket poll voting thing. I was thinking either which game franchise has the best music of all time or greatest 80s song of all time.
Taaaake on me! Let's do greatest franchise music.
been typing way too much recently and paying the pain price later. nedd 2 layoff
Repetitive? What the hell do you think the job of a super hero is all about? Just because you stopped one bank robbery doesn't mean others don't happen. Just because you stopped one gang of thugs from beating up an old lady, that doesn't mean there aren't more old ladies who aren't being singled out as easy targets.
Speaking of The Witcher, a Witcher comic book has just started up. The first review has gotten some pretty good reviews all the way around. Here's IGN's review for anyone interested.
I found a news article about the game later last night. Attendence was pretty absymal. Looks like another failure. You're either a prophet or a brilliant business anaylst. More people should listen to you.
Why does this even need to be discussed? Castlevania has the greatest music of all time (up until the god damned Lords of Shadows shit). But straight from the 8-bit era until a few years ago, every CV soundtrack was amazing. BLOODY FUCKING TEARS!!!! There's nothing left after that.
Dvader will give it a shit review because he has shit taste.
Agreed brother!
