You are doing it wrong. I bought all those awesome niche games for cheap, but you need to go buy stuff from the internet. I suspect Bugsy does it all the time. Also I found plenty of deals if you look around, heck I even got Galaxy 2 for cheap on release date.
Not the stores I have been in most of my life. You guys are just talking bargain bins and not the used game section? I usually equate them as the same. In the used game section you can find all the good games.
They must print more copies of bigger budget games which then get discounted when they do not sell. With games like Castlevania DS instead of doing a massive throng of copies of a game then reducing the unsold stock they print a small number of copies, then if there is demand a second print run etc.
Yes, I have to buy most everything online by necessity. I didn't always get them on the cheap, in fact most of the time I bought Wii 3rd party (or more niche 1st party) games upon launch to show support because every cretinous journalist couldn't wait to announce that the Wii was the graveyard for all 3rd party quality titles like Dead Space, Madworld ... and whatever else I don't know. Most of them did get cheap further down the line (which always pisses me off but what can you do). Nintendo games with very few exceptions (Punch Out, Metroid 3), I never saw under £30-£35 (I guess except the ones which have been re-released in that kind of "Player's Choice" range).
It was a bit odd with gamecube games. I managed to get most of what I wanted for reasonable prices (£10-£20) either new or used, during the last two years of the life of the console. With the release of the Wii, they all swiftly disappeared and the ones that surfaced from time to time were double the price they were before the Wii. I think I have every NGC I want though with the exceptions of Baten Kaitos and Skies of Arcadia Legends

Just finished the very last secret level in Rayman Origins. So many cheap deaths. So many!
The section for Wii in any given store is normally something like this:
That's generally what you can expect from the Wii section in any store not called Gamestop. Gamestop is usually slightly better....you may find a Resident Evil title thrown in there.
I can see what you mean.
God dammit, what a handsome devil
It was the same for GameCube when it was at a similar phase of its lifespan. GameStop would have one small shelf for the GameCube and it was always the same evergreen games, hardly discounted even when used. Occassionally one was fortunate enough to find a games like Odama or Cubivore. Of course, the GC did not have the shovelware problem the Wii has.
I thinkh e's talking a different phenomena. Yes, the first-party stuff stays high priced forever, but this is specifically bargain bins. The bin of random crap at 19.99 or under. These would be real titles for GCN, but Wii it's like, Imagine Soccer Coach and The Naked Brothers Band along with 20 other crap titles you've never heard of, along with the accessory packs nobody wanted from day 1.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI loved Shadows Of The Damned and Splatterhouse! You should get them.
Duke Nukem I kind of liked... don't judge me XD, but for 3 bucks it's definetely worth it.
Also, please tell me how is El Shaddai, I liked the demo a lot.
I botched the video so you will have to turn your head, sorry. Also if someone can embed it please do, I still have no Internet and my phone won't allow it.
