Dragon's Crown (80) Review
As a side-scrolling brawler, Dragon’s Crown is deep and loaded with replay. As an example of 2D art in gaming, it’s unequalled.

Have you tried stomping on, as well as near the walls? Stomping near should blow them up, though. If I remember correctly, and as you can tell, I may well not.
I have died 289 times in this game, I'd say at least half of those were on this level.
Ah well, beats playing Max payne 3 at least.
My God, I've done nothing all night except mess with downloads and updates. I didn't know I needed a demo ofTheWalkingDead to play 400 Days. Im finally about to start the Infinite DLC.
Even in the form of a port that routinely gets you killed through spasmodic, sentient controls, Another World is fucking awesome.
Hmmm... Really not liking the 'Automatic Updates' included with Playstation Plus at the moment. I woke up this morning to the sound of a hard drive spinning and got an unpleasant surprise when I noticed my PS3 was on and running. I thought I had left it on somehow and thought it was running all night. The durability of current gen consoles means (to me) this is a death sentence for your console, or at least the shortening of its already short life span.
I turned on the TV screen and had my System Wallpaper displaying. It was not locked up. It was 'Auto Updating' but by acknowledging this, I had turned 'Auto Shutdown' off and the PS3 would no longer turn off by itself whenever these updates were done --and-- I need to leave soon. Thing is, there's nothing for it --TO-- be auto-updating. My games (of which I only have a few) are all current and my System Firmware is up to date.
I actually took a chance and pulled the plug to get it to STOP. I was concerned I had bricked my system by doing so, but it seems to be fine. I immediately went online and read some (recent) horror stories of systems being 'stuck' in this state for 15 hours or more before other users pulled their plugs.
What's the story with this? Anyone here use this feature successfully? Anything else I should expect with Plus? I literally just signed up a day or two ago...
I've had to pull the plug on my PS3 quite a few times...it always seems to lock up on me on the menu screen when going from the internet browser or PS Store, or at certain times when its updating.
On another note, I'm actually thinking about cancelling my PS4 pre-order. Considering I have a PC that is getting most of the games and can probably play them at a higher level than the new consoles anyway, I'm really debating if I NEED to spend $400 on a new console this year.
I've never had that problem with my ps3,but with my Xbox when it was turned off. Even with everything turned off, it would make this horrible whirring noise.
I cancelled my PS4 pre-order. And I don't even feel bad about it.
I can't take the plunge and be a PC gamer only. Most of the exclusives that I want to play are console games.
I'll get one eventually, I just don't feel like I need one this year. All I'm really gonna miss out on is Killzone and Knack. And I have my Wii U and all my old consoles too.
Yeah, I agree, nothing to worry about playing now.
What a day - how you people with young kids cope I don't know? This is my hell.

Reminds me, Yakuza Wii U came out in Japan last week.

Nintendo released their financial report today.
(reported in Millions of yen)
1 USD ~ 97.89 yen
1 Euro ~ 129.67 yen
Net Sales ---> ¥81,548
Operating Loss ---> ¥4,924
Net Income ---> ¥8,624
Their operating loss was at about 5 billion yen, thats like $50 million. Because of the exchange rate Nintendo made 8.6 billion yen profit about $88 million, their estimate was 16 billion so they made way more money than they expected. Compare that to last year they had a 17 billion net loss. So as a whole Nintendo is doing much better in the numbers.
Yet the Wii U is dying with abysmal 160k units shipped in a quarter... WORLDWIDE.
If I were a company and my operating loss is being covered by a strong exchange rate, I am making loads of money still out of nowhere. If you had a product that your immediate future depends on dying on shelves wouldnt you use that extra profit, take a bigger operating loss and simply cut the price. WTF are they doing?!
Some on GAF say that smart Japanese companies dont post the exchange rate profits cause its a way to avoid paying tax on it but Nintendo is doing so to save face with investors and so Iwata can save his job.
Oh and Nintendo is NOT revising Wii U shipment estimates, they still think they can ship 9 million Wii Us in this fiscal year. LOL.
Digital content revenue generation also increased by nearly 150 percent over the same period last year. Seems like Nintendo is loving digital sales.
So here are all the sales figures for the quarter:
Hardware / Software
April 1 to June 30: 1,400,000 / 11,010,000
Lifetime: 32,480,000 / 106,040,000
April 1 to June 30: 60,000 / 2,150,000
Lifetime: 153,930,000 / 935,840,000
April 1 to June 30: 210,000 / 3,670,000
Lifetime: 100,040,000 / 872,730,000
Yes Wii outshipped Wii U. Wii has crossed the 100 million barrier. 3DS continues to do very well.
Comparison to other Nintendo hardware in the same time frame
A look at handhelds
Some software:
Animal Crossing: New Leaf - 1,540,000 / 5,400,000
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon - 1,430,000 / 2,650,000
