Yeah, some clueless dork rear bumped me while we were all stopping because of a speed bump. He was awfully distressed about it, though. He wouldn't go near me because he thought I was really pissed off (which I was, slightly, but more so because of the inconveniences and annoyances that I could already foresee). He texted me today to see how things were coming along, so even though I'll go car-less for a couple weeks I can't really stay mad at him.
Nintendo definitely needs new IP's but I wouldn't say using Smash Bros. as an example of that is fair.
Why are you posting here and not playing Xenoblade?!
I was just thinking actually that I need to get back to that, but Pikmin 3 has me hooked until its done. And I'm using GTA 4 as a side dish when I take a break from my main game (which is Pikmin right now).
True but its still too much Mario.
And not enough Metroid.
Or Xeno.
Pikmin 3 has my cock all fired up...really, if you own a Wii U you should be playing this right now

Its just as great as the old games, but with awesome HD graphics and sound and the controls are fantastic no matter which way you play. I've tried using just the Gamepad and also the Remote/Gamepad combo, and both work great and have their advantages. Though I do prefer just using the Gamepad...its just easier focusing on one device and I don't want to miss out on using the Pad's features.
The multiple character system they used was annoying me at first, but now I've got the hang of it and it really adds some good strategy to the game. Using one character to get to a hard to reach place, or leaving one group on one side of the level while another does something different is a great way to conserve time.
I remembered I had a vita and played gravity rush. Pretty sweet so far.
Hey Leo is dragons crown on vita?
Yes. Dragon's Crown is out on the Vita!
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Time to take them to school by burro.
My bags got on a later flight, so no laptop tonight. I wanted to play la mulana. Get ready for some cell phone reviews.
Rockstar responded to my email about GTA5 for the PC:
ey Jason,
Thanks for the email. We hope you’re looking forward to GTAV. The only versions of the game that we have announced are for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 which are set for a September 17th worldwide release. We don’t have anything to share about the possibility of a PC release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now.
Cheers,
Rockstar Games

The inside scoop we were all waiting for.
John Carmack leaving id software to join the Oculus Rift team.
Wow. Just. Wow. That's all the advertisement you could ever dream of right there.
Carmack left?!?!? Holy shit! If you read the book you would know how much VR meant to him, this is his dream. But I thought he would support it from afar not leave id. So what is id now? Should we never expect doom 4?
Apparently there is this animal crossing plaza thing that people are excited about from the direct. I haven't seen it yet.
Well, Bethesda has done well with franchises they did not start (like Fallout), but this is the end of id in any tangible way. No more engines... Probably for the best, id died a while back anyway.
"Something no one saw coming: Dragon's Crown outselling Pikmin 3 in Japan by a significant margin."
Oh yeah, I have it too. Really want to play it.
I think this is exciting news, his talents are wasted at id, their games arent that interesting and his engine was just ok. Now he gets to change gaming forever agin, this time in a different way. Occuljs getting him is a huge step to make them the real deal. VR or something like it is the future, not just gaming but in every way we communicate.
