Incredible. Still selling less than 10 mil at the same time, but on the path.

Actually, not really a bad idea. If it still keeps the current functions and this is in addition then I'm cool with that.
But I'm not buying it. Nintendo designs their hardware around concepts that they believe can create new gameplay experiences. But they themselves couldn't even come up with enough gameplay scenario's to utilize the gamepad in their own games. So why revisit it?
Yeah that's okay Nintendo. I'm good with my PS5.
A wireless dock would be cool though, most new tvs have a smart view function for your phone. Its jaggy but it works.
I don't know about that. By the time Switch 2 launches, it'll be 8 years since the WiiU was unceremonously dumped by Nintendo. I'd wager that a third of the people who'll end up with a Switch2 won't have any recollection of what a WiiU was anyway because they were too young to be gaming back then.
Should this come to fruitition, it'll probably be a case of the Switch2 being able to beam a second screen to the base, which would have the console look just like the Switch, just with extra functionality.
I still don't see it happening though as it would further complicate things for devs. Not only would they need to optimize for handheld and docked play, but they would also need to consider if they want to add in a second screen mode and gameplay mechanic.
Devs Told No Switch 2 Until at least April 2025
I wonder what this'll mean for the Switch2 specs. By the time the thing will actually launch, the silicon will be just as outdated as that of the original Switch was. Sure, it might come with fancy bells and whistles like AI upscaling, but it'll still be ancient by the time it hits.
I'm impressed that Nintendo really did go the original Gameboy route with the Switch. But I'm sure they're getting emailed every other day from GameStop saying, "can we take pre-orders now? Can we take pre-orders now? Please let us start taking pre orders. We're so broke right now."
444 game consoles to one tv? Damn.
First of all I didn’t realize that there were that many different game consoles. Secondly his cable management must be tight.
The most I ever had hooked up to a single TV was 27. The cable management system was any unholy fire hazard.
I could only imagine.
Indeed.
It's already in production. Rumors are a die shrink is the most likely option that the extra wait allows.
Higher clocks and better battery life. Maybe even they've taken advantage of lower memory prices?
It's too late to drastically overhaul anything.
So the die shrink should help lower the cost...for Nintendo?
I still think Nintendo is delaying Switch 2 to ensure Switch 1 outsells the PS2 first.
I considered that as well. How much more does it have to sell?
Around 12 million or so.
