1. Ms. Pac-Man:  People like to talk about Pac-Man, but there's no question its sequel was better. And Ms. Pac-Man is the coolest fat chick gaming has ever seen.

2. Dig-Dug:  As a child who liked to pop balloons and kill dragons, this game hold a great deal of special meaning to me.

3. Burger Time: The only time you can say, "HELP THE PICKLE IS CHASING ME" and not be frowned upon while visiting the midwest.

4. Galaga:  You know why this game is cool? You get 2 fighter ships simulatenously firing that. The first time I saw that was easily one of the coolest game moments I ever saw.

5. Crystal Castles:  Cute little bears in wizards hats that collect gems? Fuck yes I'll play that. Will you throw in killer trees? Holy fuck, yes I will play and endorse it!!

Street Fighter

This game's controls were horrendous and frustrating.

Is there any other less played part 1 to a major franchise than this one.

Dunno, but it definitely had to rank among "Most improved sequels" ever. This game had it all, it had cheap enemies and shit controls.

I think I've told my Street Fighter story before, but if you haven't heard it before it's kind of funny.

First time I ever saw SFII at an arcade there was a huge crowd around it and I knew I'd never be able to play, but off in the corner I saw the original.  I figured it couldn't be too bad right?  So I go check it out and notice that this version didn't have regular buttons. It had those giant pads that you had to punch instead... and one of them was missing the cover and had sharp metal prongs sticking out.  Why I still insisted on playing is a giant mystery to me, but like an ass I did anyway. Within a few minutes I sliced open my hand on those prongs and Ryu was dead without doing much damage to the first opponent.  I never played it again.
