Well, giving up is an exagerration but paralysis might be a better word for it.
As I said in my Psychological block thread, I seem to have this psycho block when it comes to buying new games. I dont think I have bought a new game since Little Kings Story which came out a few months ago in Europe.
I feel like a need a new game, but I find myself quite lethargic about getting something. It really doesn't help when you have two major money suckers, the classic cartoon collection is ever growing. I see my entertainment cabinet 3/4 full of books, dvds and games. I have DC and N64 games stuffed in a cuboard, which I never get to play. I have an xbox under the TV which hasn't been turned on for 3 years.
I have 360 games I cannot be bothered to complete.
Really I have so many games, when I look over my collection and wonder if I will ever get around to replaying them, the answer is inevitably no. How can you when a movie lasts 2 hours and a game is 6 minimum, varying all the way up to 100hrs.
I have to fork out $70 for a temparature regulating duvet, but I'm paralysed about that to as I want to spend it on games. But which games? Some titles I have been waiting to hobo pounce on never drop.
Blah. It's times like these which make me wonder if its worth it. At least animal crossing keeps me going, every day since last december. Ace.
Then there's the option of just throwing in an old favourite; that's working for me right now.
Stop buying crap. Get Metroid Prime Trilogy and stick with that for a month.
@ Foolz, no I haven't. This is what I'm talking about with gaming paralysis too. I play PWright because I already own it and I need to play something on the bog. I play Animal Crossing because its easy to play, for 15 minutes or an hour a day.
Travo I have all the prime games already, I have completed each game twice.
Robio, Junction point making a mickey platformer? Its too much of an unknown quantity.
And I have so much cartoon stuff to buy. To get the other 3 seasons of spiderman will cost $70 ish, the other 3 seasons of the Xmen is like $90 ish. Then there is tons of other stuff too. And cartoons are easy, I dont have to expend the slightest effort to watch them. Unlike games where I have to concentrate or twiddle thumbs or waggle like hell. I dont have to fight through a cartoon. Unless its a bad Galaxy Rangers episode.
