So take the tech out of it, I guess if he went through the paper looking for obituaries and then mailed offensive letters, he'd not get a criminal charge (unless there was some aspect of stalking involved).  But he would be civilly liable for emotional distress (weak case, but strong in front of a jury).

News said:

Families taking their children to see animated hit 'Megamind' in a US cinema were given a nasty shock when 'Saw 3D' was accidentally screened instead.

A theatre in Massachusetts unfortunately played the brutal horror film instead of the animated adventure, leaving kids screaming at the screen. The children were told to cover their eyes as cinema bosses tried to correct their mistake.

It took several minutes before the right film was shown, and so the children would have seen graphic images of a man with his foot cut off, and a woman killed by a buzz saw.

An upset father told WHDH of his traumatised son, "He came and slept with us and we thought we had gotten past that years ago. He said that he had a few nightmares."

Free tickets were handed out by red-faced cinema employees as compensation.

Oh maaaaaaaaaan.

Wouldn't you have left immediately rather than sitting around waiting for the film to be changed?

If I was the parent I would be horribly fucked off.

As someone without children I find this hilarious. LOL

How would you know it was not MegaMind?  Maybe that's what the movie is supposed to be like.

I saw that video on the day your cat died. I was thinking about posting it, but didn't know if it would depress you more or cheer you up.

Any cat takes on (insert larger animal) videos are good for me. Happy

These people are idiots.  That cat just as easily could have been lunch in front of those kids.  Hell, even the idiot who decides to wander casually over near the crocs himself.  They were asking for it and got lucky.

I think it's probably going to be pretty hard to confuse the two. For a start Megamind is not a live action film.

Yeah I was wondering why no one was doing anything about the invading crocs, but the little cat.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/12/17/3096262.htm

This is humorous to me (the parts I have highlighted).  In the US drinking in anyway associated with work would have given you a write-up or termination.  At my wife's work, here in AU, they actually provide free beer and wine after 4 pm on Fridays (and have frequent booze-ups for any reason).

In a nation that does not mind a drink, a new report has found many Australians overestimate the amount of booze they can handle before exposing themselves to harm.

According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare study, 40 per cent of people do not realise four standard drinks in one sitting is predominantly the limit before they begin to make poor choices.

The news may come as a shock to many Australians as a lot of drinkers would not consider four drinks to come close to a normal drinking session.

DrinkWise chair Trish Worth says although it can vary depending on a person's weight and how much they have eaten, she is urging people to be sensible, especially during the festive season when many people tend to hit the bottle harder than usual.

"Certainly most people would think they can take more than four standard drinks before being unwise, but some won't be able to," she said.

"The other issue is what is a standard drink? If you pour your own, you may be pouring two drinks into one, or some cans might be two standard drinks.

"Going a bit harder can sometimes be enjoyable but it can sometimes lead people to do things they wouldn't otherwise do.

"The evidence is certainly there that they're more likely to get into a car with someone they shouldn't; someone who may have had too much to drink.

"This is when arguments occur. It can lead to sexual encounters that wouldn't otherwise take place and people might regret it the next day."

Ms Worth says there is no expectation that people should not enjoy a few drinks over Christmas and the New Year, but DrinkWise is hoping to change any belief that you need to be drunk to have a good time, particularly when it comes to young people.

"Certainly consuming alcohol is very much a part of Australian culture... it's part of celebration and part of our way of life," she said.

"But we've got to change it to a safer culture because as part of an affluent society, young people have more money to spend.

"Other studies show they feel socially unacceptable if they're not drinking, so we need to work harder at a community level to change that.

"We recognise that it will take time but we do want to see a safer drinking culture."

If it helps, it's only Tokyo that ammended their existing law, and the law only covers materials sold to minors (under 20 in Japan).  The amendment discourages the depiction of illegal activities in manga and specifically denotes that thats includes rape, statutory rape, beastiality and incest.  The "penalty" is the the publisher will be noted by the government as not having followed their guidelines.
