200 year old sailing ship found at ground zero in NY.

makes you think about what any little patch of land sees over the course of time.

That thought always makes me dizzy. I often think about that when reading about one of those trees that are thousands of years old. The things they've seen.

You guys hear about the champagne recovered from a 1782 French ship? They opened a bottle and it was drinkable.

30 bottles. Wonder how much per bottle its worth? Some rich bastard would pay millions, then bathe in it with prostitutes.

The story I saw said they were going to sell them for 55 grand each.

I'd rather buy a 55 grand car and spend $2 on a 40 of malt liquor.  But then, I don't get over to Monte Carlo much these days.

Trippy. Really trippy.

Okay, so what it is a video representation of mood throughout the US as expressed by words used in Twitter.  So they lock down the key words, time of day and region. (Harvard study)

Looks like late night and early morning are the happy times (intoxication) -- Steel -- probably matches ER busy times.  California and Florida are the places to be, which population matches up with - weather is so fundamental to human happiness.

FCC now defines "broadband" as 4Mbps down, 1Mbps up

Which means, by US terms, I don't have broadband, because of my disproportionately craptacular 640Kbps upload.  Cue GG...

I'm not even close. I have 2.5 Mbps download and .3 Mbps up.
