You know how I feel.  Dirty players.  Good riddance.  Justice is done.

Well done Slovakia, well played, well deserved

That was a great match to watch. That italian guy attacked the goalkeeper. And there was that gash injury.

The italian guy attacked the goal keeper and hit/hurt him.  the when the slovak player simply pulled him off his keeper he fell back like he was stabbed in the face rolling and wailing.

How can someone not hate these players?

Italy's history. The champion is no more. Great match by Slovakia. I hope this is a rude awakening for italian calcio, they need to seriously consider a complete overhaul of the national team.

One thing that bugs me is when players hold their face when their face has not been hit. The sooner they bring in video referres, the better.

What killed the Aussies was their poor performance against Germany. With today's win, they could have advanced to knockout stage, but it was Ghana instead because of their better goal differential.

Bullshit.

What killed us was missing quite a few fantastic chances against Ghana. Wilkshire doesn't miss. Chipperfield doesn't miss. Kennedy doesn't miss. 6 points and we're through, simple as that.

Sorry just sick of all the constant fucking complaining about the Germany game in the media here, when they should be extremely pleased at how well we did in the end despite difficult circumstances, and their giant two year old hissy fit after the 4-0 loss where they crucified the entire team.

Hell, we got the same result as 2006 in a much, much harder group (and in harder circumstances). Yet everyone is complaining about the Germany loss. Fuck off you stupid bandwagoning wankers.

Well it helps to get that out. More websites should let you swear. Nyaa

<3 Steel.

I calling BS on your BS.

Ghana had plenty of chances to score against Australia too. Heck Ghana even had plenty of chances to win from Germany. Serbia also had plenty of chances to score against Australia in the first 60 minutes. Australia was being outplayed bad, until they scored from nowhere.

You can't just say: "if we scored the goal we would be through". The same applies for the other teams. Australia, deserved to go home, big hearts will only get you so far. Serbia deserved to get home, because technical football with retarded tactics and no heart will only get you so far.

Denmark vs Japan

Holland is already through and Cameroon is already eliminated. No point in watching that.

Fuck yeah, Japan was awesome.

Did you see the third goal?!

And is this the first time someone scored directly from a free kick this WC?

The superior Japan team obliterated the danish. Honda is such a magnificent player. He needs to be signed by a major team after this WC.

Great player indeed.  Shouldn't try so hard to be Nakata though.  Great performance all around by the Japanese team

World Cup Octopus: Paul's Predictions Stun Germany

An Octopus in Germany is stunning soccer fans around the world with his remarkable ability to predict the outcome of German World Cup games. Paul, a mollusk in Oberhausen, has correctly picked the result of all three German games so far. Most recently, the savvy octopus foresaw that Germany would edge Ghana to advance to the tournament's knockout stage, according to Sky News.

The prized prophet informs humans of his prediction by choosing between two boxes, each containing a delicious snack and decorated with a World Cup country's flag. Paul correctly picked Germany to conquer Australia in their first game, and he even called Serbia's shocking upset against the Germans.

The sea-bound seer faces a unique challenge for his next selection. Paul was born in England, Germany's next opponent, and thus has deep allegiances to each team. It may never be known which team Paul will be rooting for, but he will predict a winner on Friday.

What I meant was in terms of qualifying failing to beat Ghana was a worse result than losing to Germany, and that it's pointless to complain constantly about the performance against Germany.

And I'm not saying the approach to the German match was a good one, I just don't think it necessarily would have affected our chances of qualifying greatly if we had played our normal game against them.
