It looks phenominal.  Best looking game I've seen on any console 2-D or 3-D.  My only concern is that this game doesn't end up with the slowdown that Odin Sphere had.

My worry is that it might be like Odin Sphere, too demanding with too many RPG elements. I want an arcadey hack and slash, awesome platforming experience, uncluttered by unnecessary fluff.

I've pre-ordered it.  Probably foolishly, but I live by my decision.

LOL.

Do you guys that that maybe shrinking the smaller character models and making the viewable playing area larger would make the gameplay better? Maybe its just because the camera zooms in at points, so I think they are big.

That's half the fun of a pre-order---the risk!

According to (our iffy translation of) Famitsu, Muramasa: The Demon Blade will be playable in two different modes: "Musou" and "Shura." Musou mode may be best-suited for fans of previous Vanillaware action-RPGs like Odin Sphere: it focuses on character leveling rather than action. Shura mode is all action, with less emphasis on strategy. We don't know how the modes differ mechanically, but it may be as simple as easier enemies in one mode and fewer character customization options in the other.

HOLY BOOBY FUCK what a trailer!!! SOLD!!!!!!

The Wii is on fire right now, some third parties are giving it their best shot and look at this, its freaking amazing.

But I am with GG, less RPG and more action. I never played Odin Sphere so I have no idea if the RPG elements worked or not, I am just going with my tastes on this one.
