This is like zelda crashing to me. Now we have to wait another 4-5 years to see if they can get it right again. Or even have to look to RE Revelations 2?
I know it is super heart breaking, Like 600 fucking people worked on this game too. Maybe that was the problem. They need to reboot this series again, honestly just wipe the fucking slate clean and go back to a more traditional survival experience-- not necessarily completley change it from the RE4 formula, but something more of an amalgamation of the old and the new. The forumla has jumped the shark and is now wank.
Man you guys are so dramatic. So some reviewers hate it, so what. Have your own opinion. I am very excited for tonight, good or bad it should be interesting.
That said yes it is sad to see this one beloved franchise reach this point, I will worry about the implications of that after I have finished the game.
I saw this coming way back when I 1st played Resident Evil 5...that's why even though disappointing, I'm not surprised. You could see it going slowly down the shitter.

I have my own opinion and it's this:

Your have your own opinion comment could apply to any badly reviewed game. But we're hardly going to buy every badly reviewed game just to have our own opinion on it. We use reviews as a buying guide, all the guides are telling me buyer beware. Knowing how long it takes to make these games, yeah if it is bad then it's a tragedy.
I'm wondering if this game has suffered the Team Ninja NG3 effect, where they made a western hamburger and pandered to what they thought the western action palette would want. I would not be suprised if they announced that the PC/Wii U versions were altered in some way. But then, Capcom is Capcom, so no?

Seeing how much Kamiya and others at PG seem to hate Capcom, I dont see that happening. Mikami is a free agent though, so he may be convinced to come back.
Mikami is not a free agent. He works for "Bethesda" now.
After working with Platinum Games, he started his own studio Tango Gameworks, which has been acquired by the American company ZeniMax Media.

The next Elder Scolls is going to have a rad Mercenaries mode.

I honestly dont give three shits what they reviewed it. I knew it would be reviewed poorly, my only concerns are the ones I have of the demo. I will play it soon that is all I care about.
And hell yeah I am watching MNF. Go Bears! (Fantasy reasons )
I'm actually VERY disappointed. This was the RE game I was anticipating MOST since 4 on the GameCube! Having just finished Revelations not too long ago set my expectations high... I'll be totally depressed until Tuesday when Dishonored, Code of Princess and XCOM: Enemy Unknown come out... then I should be good...
...in the meantime...
