Brad didnt know how to roll for 10 hours, frankly that is pathetic. He has no idea what he is doing, of course he doesn't like it.
No offense Vader, but this is one of those games you would convince yourself to like (similar to Sonic) just because of what it is. If you like it, fine, but don't try to pretend its even close to what it should be in style or quality.
Sure, I haven't played the full game. I did play BOTH demo's that Capcom released. I watched full video's of others playing the full game and I've been playing games just as long as you, so I know what I'm seeing and I know how something is going to for the most part be without needing to play 100% of it for myself to finally decide.
You're starting to sound like everyone that didn't give the game great reviews were somehow wrong because you've convinced yourself to like it. If it was one or two reviews, you may have a point. But when 90% of the press gives something a mediocre write up, it goes beyond being just someone's opinion & becomes more of a fact.
I've seen people saying reviewers just have a problem with Capcom, and that's why they're giving it bad scores. Cmon now people.
Are you going to rate this higher than The Witcher 2?
A few years ago I got called out for hating on a game I had not played and since then I've tried hard not to do so. (I'll let you find or recall countering examples). It turns out there are many games that people treat like a pinata that I end up enjoying, so it has helped me to hold up on judgement until I actually get my hands on a game. In the case of LA Noire I went in beleiving the criticisms and it turned out to be my GOTY 2011.
Though, in the case of Heavy Rain I went in wanting to love it and ignoring the haters but ended up agreeing with them. So you never know.
After listening to several reviewers and reading the reviews I do have a unique take on RE6 and what Capcom may have had in mind, but I'll save that for the podcast.
I found a few parts of RE6 that look pretty cool, here's a few clips of them below:

But you haven't played the final retail copy so what do you know.
I do intend on picking RE6 up at hobo prices sometime in the future. Shouldn't take long being an end of generation game and all. I just don't feel like its a good idea to support a company for making a half assed game in one of gaming's greatest franchises by buying it at full price. Sends the wrong message.
Hardly matters for me. I have a fantastic track record for being able to discern games that I will enjoy.edgecrusher said:But you haven't played the final retail copy so what do you know.

I dont convince myself to like anything, I like what I like. Just look at my history of scoring games, this game fits right up my alley. Are the reviewers wrong for not liking it, no they can not like it all they want, my issue is with scores as there is supposed to be some consistantcy to them, the scores do not match the game. And if they do feel this game is on the level of stuff like RE ORC or Sonic 06, then I cant agree with that reviewer at all and theirs is an opinion I probably will not follow.
Also its not 90%, the game has a 70 on metacritic, you are doing what gaf is doing "only the bad reviews are truthful!!" Its such a sad childish mentality, I see tons of people completely take what other say at face value and try to use it as their opinion. I know you have played the demo and seen enough to know you probably won't like it. That is good that you know yourself as a gamer. I am not trying to convince you to play it, I am just saying you cant have a true opinion on the whole game, you have not played it. You dont want to play it cause it seems like a game you would not like, that is basically where your opinion ends,
And as of right now, I definetly like this game more than Witcher 2.
Chris chapter 3 is a huge improvement, Loved the boss battle against the giant invisible snake. Its creepy to be moving slowly down a hallway then see a glint of the snake and realize it is right in front of you.
One thing that is bothering me, I have no ammo, I have literally brought a knife to a gunfight cause I have zero ammo at times. Capcom if you want us to shoot everything that moves then we want ammo. If you want to create s tense scray game then we want less ammo. Don't mix the two up.

So a 70 average is what a RE game should score? Because I think a RE main series game should at least have an 85...anything around 70 is indeed BAD for RE. When did I say only the bad scores are truthful? And what the fuck at the childish comment.
Whatever, there is no point talking of this further. I had a vision of this thread getting like this 2 days ago.

You straight up said 90% gave it horrible scores. You have done nothing except focus on all the negative. And when someone tries to show you the other side you dismiss it as someone trying to like it. I expect that stuff from gaf but not here. You have every right to be disappointed at how th franchise has reached this point, I am too.
Says the man who hasn't played it. The reviews are overreaction at its best. The majority of gaf is enjoying it. The people at GS are enjoying it. All around the web I see the same thing over and over, questions as to way the reviewers gave it such a low score.
