That is crazy. I mean. THAT IS CRAZY.

Yeah. Fucking mental. Still terrified that it's going to blotch my record with something if I puss out and enable it - especially since it mentions nothing if you pick it.
Anyway, cleared Chapter 2 of Jake's story. Holy goddamn is it something awful. Worth it in the end to finaly see Jake and Sherrie's story pick up a little bit, but the payoff wasn't worth the prior 40 minutes.
EDIT: Oh! Forgot to mention this fun little quirk about the game. Turns out that having the game be 'online', yet even when not allowing anyone to join, YOU CAN'T PAUSE THE GAME. Pausing is only available in Split-Screen or SP Offline mode. In case you're wondering, while RE5 effectively forced you online everytime, you could pause the game provided Sheva was being controlled by the AI.
Dvader said:So the game will have 10 mercs maps. 3 are available for getting the game, 3 are pre order bonuses and the other 4 is dlc. Oh capcom. At least the game is gigantic.
Well, it could be worse. Could make a whole game based on Mercenaries and have most of it locked away and have the proper Mercs mode locked surprisingly far in. Wait.
Anyway, just read through Van Ord's tweets. No idea where he is in the game when he made those, but the gameplay to cutscene ratio for me has been very much in favour of gameplay. The Prologue is probably the worst of this that I've seen, but again, I need to see the other campaigns to clairfy this.

I'm guessing its the Leon campaign....that seems like the one you're "supposed" to start with. So it likely has tons of cutscenes.

No. VanOrd is simply a moron. He also was completely wrong about the losing ammo at a checkpoint thing.
Played the demo and i did a slide into 180 roll, OMG! This allows you to slide right past enemies and do a quick roll to be facing them. It is so awesome to pull off.
Okay, just ran through the first...hour/hour and a half. Kinda enjoying it. Liking how it's much easier to pull off melee stuff, and especially liking that each dude has a running melee attack. Started off with Jake's story, and he seems pretty interesting of a character...even if most of his dialogue is all "I'll do it for X amount of money" (paraphrasing of course, then again, it IS RE we're talking about). Where I left off was roughly at the end of Chapter 1 with him (what I think is the end of the first chapter), so I'll wrap that up tonight and post a bit more.
Not too sure how more specific you want me to get, and I haven't played the demo, so quite a lot of it is new to me.
But in any case, allow me to share some pictures:
That's the second disc of the 360 game. Looks like it's all the international voice over stuff. Though I haven't chucked it in yet and see what it gets me.
Here's the network screen you get once you pick a story (and character - for the record, I chose Jake). What's crazy to me is that not only is Infinite Ammo an option, but IT'S THERE BY DEFAULT. I literally just started the game, and had selected normal difficulty, but there I go, I can start with infinite ammo. Doesn't also help Jake can grab a pretty rad gun not too far into his story. Also haven't any idea if picking infinite ammo disables cheevos/trophies. But still, I did a spittake once I saw that, holy shit.
EDIT: To clarify a little, in case you're wondering the some of the Objective settings include things like focusing on playing on the hardest difficulty, playing solely for the story, or playing just to mess around.
