Boy, was I ever rusty. I think it's been from before Christmas that I even played any Splatoon. Still very fun though. After you left I came out against a team with 3 snipers on Bluefin Depot. They locked down the entire center area of the map, the 3 of them.

How many sea snails did you nab?
The good thing about Splatfests is that you can not partake at all, but if you picked a side you'll still get one or two sea snails.
On a related note, I sometimes see people with gear with 3 times the same secondary perk. I'm calling them out to be cheaters. Chances of that happening are laughably low.

I've got 2 times the secondary perk. You have to spend a lot of cash to get that.
I got 5 snails.

I got 16 snails one Splatfest. I started adding slots to stuff I won't even use.

? Not sure if we're talking about the same thing here. I've got some gear with twice the 'special meter refill rate up' perk, but I didn't spend anything to get that, it just happened by luck. sometimes I'll see someone with an item with 3 times the 'damage up' perk, and I find those to be a tad suspect.

I paid that back ally dude 30`000 per spin and it's a slot machine that changes your secondary perks. I've blown over 90'000 on some gear.
Jumped in for a few matches, stayed for over an hour. Tower control is the best mode ever, that tug of war is epic.
Is the only way to play ranked with you guys to open a private squad then wait around for someone to join?
