I'll make a random list for no reason with no links. Amaral, M.I.A., Klaus Nomi, Jobriath, and Numen.

And the Beatles.

Grinning  Linda Linda is awesome!

Next recommendation (is anybody ever listening to these?) ... from a few years back, philadelphia hip-hop collective the Roots collaborate with sexy soul diva Erykah Badu and release their best ever track.

... watch for when the drummer does a drum n bass rhythm manually at about 3 and a half minutes in.  Amazing!

The Roots feat. Erykah Badu - You Got Me

I generally don't like hip-hop (I'm being nice with that wording), so a lot of them it's hard to garner interest.  Let me try to pull out a couple I do

Heartsdales - Candy Pop

Heartsdales - Angel Eyes

Okay time to teach you barbarians some culture.

I will start with Goran Bregovic and the Red Army Choir. Bugsy you do some Greek music and Steel how bout some Mexican Spanish music.

Okay first up Goran Bregovic.

To lessen the culture shock, we will start with Bregovic together with Iggy Pop

Iggy Pop/Goran Bregovic

In the Death Car

From the movie Underground

Bregovic & Ogi

Mesecina

From the movie black cat white cat

Bubamara

And now 2 really upbeat songs

One is about the Soviet export no. 1.

Kalashnikov

The other is about riding around like a lunatic

Gas Gas

Death Car is from Arizona Dream.

... and i don't really listen to greek music in the sense that you mean (as in what one would call "ethnic").  i could link up some greek electronic music artists or some greek hiphop but i doubt that is what you mean.

but you want Zorba the Greek don't you?
