Watching the new season of What We Do in the Shadows. It always feels like it's a show that can't continue to be good, yet does. The most recent episode had some of the biggest laughs I've had in a looong time.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile

I'm interested in this now.

If you're interested in the Friday the 13th series, then I highly recommend Crystal Lake Memories based on the book of the same name. The documentary is nearly seven hours of behind the scenes interviews and history of all of the movies and even the tv series. Corey Feldman even hosts it. I think it's on YouTube but I actually bought it through Apple.

I watched The Many Saints of Newark this weekend. It was pretty much what I expected it would be, and that I'm very happy. I can honestly say it's a great movie, but it was still good and very cool getting to see some of the backstory of characters who had previously only been mentioned.

Unfortunately, the pacing isn't real good. David Chase still treats it more like a TV show than a movie. You can watch this and almost see where an episode could have ended in the next one would have started.

The acting is top-notch. The only weaknesses are some of the minor characters. The guys who were cast as Silvio and Pauly seem like you're doing Saturday Night live impressions rather than acting. Fortunately, they don't have a lot of screen time so it's fine.

Anyway, sopranos fans will walk away happy I think. Anyone else, well the movie really wasn't meant for them.

I just resubscribed back to Disney+ and got around to watching Loki. I really enjoyed the Terry Gilliam aesthetic that they set up in the first episode. Lots of really interesting concepts to the show as well, which is almost frustrating because instead of the more high-end ideas the series presented everyone just latched onto alligator Loki as the greatest thing to come from the show.... God damn humans are simple.

Anyway, the pacing slips a little bit in the second episode, but other than that it was a solid experience from start to end. Highly recommend it.

I'm actually streaming something (because my brother still has the DVDs). After going through all of Dragon Ball I am now watching Dragon Ball Z. First time watching both in about a decade, second time watching in Japanese, first time watching them in chronological order instead of starting with DBZ. The situation with Piccolo is much more meaningful early on with the Dragon Ball context.

I just signed up for HBOMax and have been watching curb your enthusiasm for the first time. I've seen clips of the show on YouTube for years, guess it's a good time to watch it for real now. I'm enjoying it.

I love Curb but haven't watched but just a few seasons.  Like MASH, you could basicly start on any episode.

Haven’t watched Squid Game yet but do want to check it out. I’m assuming it’s tentacle porn right?

It's kinda like the Running Man. It's nothing original, a touch overhyped, but still a good watch. Indebted people bet with their lives in a twisted set of games.

Oh, Vincenzo is a great show. It's about a Korean dude who grew up in the Italian mafia. It's half comedy, very slick, very funny and has some decent drama chops.

They splat in that game, too.  GGs description of the show like The Running Man does have me intrigued.

I started binging Orphan Black, and damn that's a helluva good show. It's about 80 group of women who find out they are clones oh, and the actress who plays all of them is pretty damn amazing. I know this is already had a run on BBC and in Canada, so I'm well behind the times, but glad I'm watching it now.

I just finished watching the third season of Narcos: Mexico and I was surprisingly happy with it.

The Narcos series started out as one of my favorite shows when it was focused on Pablo Escobar during the first two seasons. But once he was out of the picture, each season declined as they focused on different subjects: the Cali cartel and then later the Mexico seasons. This season of Mexico they finally came up with something good, and that's really because it was just pure chaos with all the Mexican cartels fighting amongst themselves. Still not as good as the Escobar seasons, but this was a good note for the show to go out on.

Pluto TV just launched a channel that shows nothing but episodes of the original Japanese Iron Chef. I could pretty much have this channel on 24 hours and I will always be happy.
