I saw a lot of Uncharted, Jedi Outcast & Titanfall in there, but Metroid definitely didn't come to mind. So I'm guessing the Metroid stuff is probably in the bigger picture of progression & upgrades.
Also, hopefully the progression & upgrades aren't locked behind the Wilson Lootbox

I'd say you're probably right, but Metroid sounds better for branding than two contemporary competitors and a more niche earlier Star Wars game. Plus it's something people will have low expectations for (progressions and upgrades) since so many games have already copied that aspect of Metroid.
