It was a reference to an episode of That 70's Show. Kelso/Ashton Kutcher makes a comment along the lines of, "I'm what you call man pretty." That was about 10 years ago, and at the time I was a sexy bitch. Age and kids have taken their toll, but in my mid 20's I was a total metrosexual pretty boy. So when my wife and I saw that episode, we laughed and jokingly started to use the term.
Around the same time Gmail launched and in a move that showed a lack of long term planning, I chose that for an email address. So it all just started to stick. And as far as the username, Robio didn't meet the 6 character limit and I didn't want to bother coming up with a new username.
nice! I knew there was a good story to go with the name.
I remember that episode of That 70's Show.
