Vanquish, Revengeance, Nier: Automata were all without Kamiya according to wikipedia.
He only supervised Bayonetta 2, so you could probably add that to the list above, too.
My only contribution to this thread is why does Non-tendo bankroll these witch games and not Endless Ocean 3? Life sucks.
Because they're even better.
And this is coming from someone who thought Endless Ocean was one of the best games of its gen.

I thought he was direcly involved in Vanquish. Well there goes my theory.
Oh, the true archargel, Mikami, okay then that's okay. (Nagoshi is God).

It'll be a Hashimoto game again I bet. Kamiya has usually not worked on a sequel with the exception of Resident Evil 2, and he didn't direct RE1. So I expect him to have his own IP worked on again. I'm not looking forward to the atrocious framerate thanks to the switch, but I hope it brings back all of Bayonetta 1's strengths. Because as far as depth of mechanics n enemies are concerned, Bayonetta was way better.
Also think the umbran climax should be on a sep meter from the magic meter. And Platinum should be able to work around that type of balancing. I doubt the scale will be there, but I expect another classic beat-em up since the core of Bayonetta is idiot proof at this point.
So it's coming to the Switch, I hope Kamiya is working on this one (I think that's how "good' Platinum game and "bad" Platinum games are determined).
Any theories from the trailer? My theory is this will be the rise of the third realm (duh) wi the introduction of Balder as a sympathetic character, coming together with Jeane and Bayonetta to battle another foe.
Pictured Above: Balder. Though in this image he seems to have plenty of lusterous locks.
