Inspired by that "how stronger was the N64 vs the PS1" thread I come here to settle this once and for all: which game on the N64 best showcases the graphical prowess of that console?

My pick is Jet Force Gemini. That game looked gorgeous back then and amazingly still holds up to this day.

And to think this game doesn't use the expansion pack! Because outside of blurry textures due to limited cartridge space I don't think any PS1 game looked as good as the best looking N64 games ever did.Still that didnt matter in the end, of course. CDs had too many other advantages anyway.

What does GAF think?

Basically, any game made by Rareware were the best looking N64 games.

Some parts of Conker were stunning, but overall I think Banjo Tooie was the best looking game. It was an enhancement on the first one which was amazing itself....and none of these used the expansion pak which leads me to believe that in terms of graphics the expansion pak was overrated. It helped out more with level size and shit of that nature.

The expansion pack allowed for better resolution in a small handful of games and made a bit difference IMO like Turok 2 or Hybrid Heaven. Everything was sharper and more detailed. However I think either Banjo Tooie or Perfect Dark were the best looking games.

For some reason Shadowman keeps popping back into my head, but on reflection it wasn't because of the visuals, but more so that atmosphere of utter insanity and large interconnected game world.
