Thanks. Did the quality sustain throughout?
I did not finish it. I'm going to go back and start fresh. I was distracted by too many other games, strayed for a little too long and lost my place. You need to remember what units work best against the other units and plan accordingly. Remembering that now would be impossible. I'm going to go back when I can devote time to it and only it.
From what I played, the quality didn't diminish at all. If anything, the more you learned its nuances, the more you start to appreciate it and enjoy it more and more and more...
I was going to jump into Separate Ways, because even to this day I've never played The original version. But after my false start that tacked on about 8 hours or so, I'm just a little burned out with the game, so I'm going to hunt down something else to play for the rest of the holidays.
Recently finished Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Excellent game, good story, fantastic voice acting and performance, enjoyable gameplay, and the exploration and puzzle solving felt rewarding. The way they handled the first person and third person perspectives worked very well for this game. Ran into a couple of minor bugs but nothing game breaking. One was fixed with a rollback to a previous save, lost about 10 minutes. The other simply restarted the last checkpoint. I’ll definitely go back and do some more side stuff in this game. I’d give it a 9/10.
Hey, I got fifteen this year. Archie, should've gone for ten more.

Eleven more would have been better.
So lets recap this!
The winner with the most completions is, of course Archangel with 58! He was aided by playing every Mega Man game ever. Also replayed some TLOU and old FF games. New games he completed were FF7 Rebirth, Hellblade 2, Dragons Dogma 2, Astro Bot, Elden Ring Shadow, Indiana Jones, a lot of really big games there. Not a Nintendo game in sight, he clearly hates them! Some indies as well, one called Little Kitty, Big City, which I read as Little Titty, Big City which I feel would be a better game. Great showing, congrats!
In second place its ME! I am to lazy to list my games so here they are in picture form all logged on this site. I completed 48 games, about 15 are new games from this year. I started the year finishing up BG3 and playing FF7, massive games. I have odd old games which I play at work on my laptop, so when you see a PS1 game its cause of that. My most replayed games were Castlevania as I went on a sort of CV trip with collections they released. Also replayed some SH games as well as the excellent SH2. Ended the year with some Sonic which I am still playing, will probably play a few Sonic games to start this new year. I have a new Zelda, new Sonic, new FF, great year. Also amazing indies lead by Balatro which I cant say there is a way to beat it...I mean I finished a full set, I guess that counts. I played that game for like 60 hours, im counting it.
In third place its Arny with 38 (This is really creepy, why are we all ending with an . Ohh I see some recounting of the same game as RE2 was finished many times and he counted each seperately, not really a different game being completed, so its not actually 38, but still 3rd place. Started the year beating a ton of strategy games then shifting to DMC games and snuck in Dragons Dogma 2. Then went on a wild RE kick and then some souls games including Erdtree. Bonus points for also finishing Inscryption this year and loving it.
In fourth place we got Te Rojo with 31. Talk about playing everything, a wild mix of all kinds of games, from big ones to obscure indies. He played quite a few Souls likes so there is that. Interesting list, hard to pin down anything.
The rest of you guys had puny lists! But hey all that matters is you have fun playing.
I've made it on to the most important end-of-year list. Yet I've been beaten by Aarny. Foolz didn't keep a list this time, so I had to make my own list for him:
- Indika
- POOLS
- Soma
- This Bed We Made
- Slay the Princess
- You Suck at Parking
- Still Wakes the Deep
- Disco Elysium
- Baldur’s Gate III
- Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
- Dear Esther: Landmark Edition
- Sky: Children of the Light
In no particular order and surely incomplete. Mostly it's games I also played. We were also playing Sackboy but we haven't yet got around to playing to the end.

I would add to the list the games I know Foolz beat but that would only add me to his co-dependant friends list

Okay, so I can cross "Finding out what porn Dvader is into" off my to do list.

You're already running the podcast website, editing the podcast, and posting the majority of the content. So I'll let you off the hook this time.
P.S. Only in (post-?)modern psychological jargon would the term to describe an imbalanced relationship be codependence.

Are they suing you for not calling out any of their games in your "Completed Games of 2024" list?

it's that attitude right there that's prevented StarTropics 3. I don't blame you specifically, but this doesn't help.

Yes I felt bad about not finding the right word there. I started researching the correct term then went -- WTF am I doing, this is just a forum post. Just thought of it, here we go, "I would add to the list the games I know Foolz beat but that would only add me to his servile friends list
