Rumor has it that the DSi will be getting GB/GBA games. What is even more surprising is that people are reporting that Sega is interesting in supporting it as well. If the rumor is true, I wouldn't mind playing Supermario Land 1, Pokemon GSC, and Links Awakening all over again. Hope something gets announced at Iwata's Keynote
That'd be a nice touch, I'm sure those games won't take up much space, but even so I hope Ninty does not repeat the storage errors of the Wii.
The SD slot makes it a promising prospect, but I would still bet against it happening. I guess with 256 MB of internal memory, it has the room for Nintendo to add "channels" like the Wii. But I really don't think Nintendo can pull out a surprise that large, this late in the game. The DSi is already released in Japan, and coming to Australia/UK/US in like a week. I can't see that level of downloadable content on the handhelds, at least not this generation.
Although it does have firmware updates and a shop menu... ugh.. so confusing.

They should release DLC for Ninja Five-0 with Fedor as a bonus character.
I was totally like "wtf is victorprime" as well, but I didn't want to say anything in case you guys were über good friends from 1up or something hahahaha.
I never got the chance to play Super Mario Land 2, the last in my quest to play and beat all the main series of Mario platformers. It must be mine!
Oh, and welcome victorprime!

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileyou will totally love mario land 2, the mechanics are much smoother compared to the first and it plays more like the console 2D marios. personally i prefer the first (because it's very unique). but all the super mario land games are excellent (even 3 which is the first wario land). the wario land games are excellent as well.
i had a good collection of GB and GBC games which were stolen from my flat in london along a lot of other games, so i would welcome this. it would also solve the problem the old cartridges have of not saving because the battery goes flat.

Hi, dont think we've met.
How did you find this place?
Iwata just spoke at GDC and this wasn't mentioned although Wii VC arcade was announced with SD card support too.
