It's been a long road for Smash Bros. The game has been a cornerstone of Nintendo Directs for over 2 years. All good things must come to end though, and next week we'll see the last video presentation. But with the announcement of Cloud as a new character Nintendo officially pulled off one of the great "everything you know is wrong" moments in the history of gaming. Even with the fan vote, most people were expecting to see characters we'd already seen before like the Ice Climbers, Wolf, or maybe Snake. But now... fuck who knows?
Shovel Knight was always a maybe, but now the idea of Meatboy isn't so crazy. With Minecraft going to the Wii U, I could see Master Chief showing up. Personally my money is now on Crash Bandicoot to show up. Solid gaming icon, he'd fit in like glove, and his current owners at Activision would likely play ball. Anyonee else have any thoughts or am I the last person who still likes Smash?
