Sure.
- Red Dead Redemption - $76 (aprox). I have had my eye on this game for a long time now. It has two of the things I love the most in entertainment, westerns and videogames. All of that seasoned with a heatlhy dose of Rockstar.
- Darksiders - $25. It's Leo's fault, basically. The comparisons with Zelda make me uneasy, but I feel it can be a good ride for me.
- Defense Grid: The Awakening - $2.50. Steam sale. A game that pretty much kicks every other tower defense games in the ass. Dozens of hours of quality gaming for cheap.
- The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom - $0.49. Steam sale. This one had no reasoning behind it. I don't even like fucking puzzlers, but at less than half a dollar, who cares anyway? Game's pretty good, BTW.
a few days ago naruto path of ninja 2 for 13$ because its a rpg and not a bad one
I bought Fallout 3 for $20 and Oblivion, used, for $10 at Gamespot. I can't believe I traded Fallout in before completing it. I just received Ass: Creed: Bro for Christmas and Fable 2 for $20. All of these games came from Gamestop.
Steel, the comparisons to Zelda is what compels me to get Darksiders.

I was holding off from getting Darksiders because of the Zelda comparisons, but fnially broke down because I want to see if it is Zelda I don't like the game play or just the Zelda world.
You got a lot of playtime ahead of you with all of that -- for low prices too.

A lot of times people avoid games because they are licensed, but I've found some real gems that were hidden behind their source material many times, particularly with the DS/ GBA.
999 looks very cool! I really want to check that out, although the current price tag is pushing me away.

It's like $40 USD right? Amazon has been weid this week -- when I looked up Alice in Wonderland it was listed at $49, but when I added it to my wishlist it went down to $14...
Anyway, picked up
Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, 360, $16.99. Got it cause of Leo's GOTY thread. EDIT: Wasn't part of Leo's GOTY thread, just a normal one. ANYWAY, it's Leo's fault.
I was actually up later than Vader (assuming he went to bed after turning off his PS3) last night finishing Majin.
For $39.99 I enjoyed the game for what it was: a charming and clever, puzzle/adventure game with juuust enough gameplay to justify the price tag...
For $16.99 it is an absolute STEAL!
*It wasn't part of my Top 25 but there's nothing wrong with the game at all! It's just an innocent bystander in the holiday TSUNAMI of games!*
Best Buy in the US is having a pretty good after Christmas sale.
Here are some deals:
- Splinter Cell Conviction - $9.99
- Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands (360/PS3) - $9.99
- UFC 2010 - $14.99 (Looks like Brock's loss has slowed the sales down for this game since he's on the cover!)
- Fallout New Vegas - $34.99
- Picross 3D - $9.99 (Thinking about picking this up)
- Pokemon HeartGold - $19.99
- Dragon Quest IX - $19.99 (That's a GREAT deal! Too bad we all have it already)
- Professor Layton And the Diabolical Box - $17.99 (Or it could be the Unwound Future. But one of them is on sale)
- Metroid Other M - $29.99
- Epic Mickey - $39.99
There's more but those are the ones I remember from the ad.

I also got Super Meat Boy (3.50) and the remake of the first two Monkey Island games (3.75) on the Steam sale.
The Monkey Island games I got them because I never played the originals, and I keep reading all kinds of good stuff about the writing and humor on the games.
SMB I got it because of Leo (again). I Have the feeling it will spank my ass unceremoniously (like Leo), but in the end it will deliver an unforgettable ride (like Leo).
Target has a ton of games for $39.99 like Halo:Reach and Epic Mickey.

Have you played Picross before? I have not.

Yes. It was great. The 3D version is very confusing at first, but it's pretty good. The first one was bare bones in its presentation, but this 3D one has a very good presentation with animated props and everything.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile^When love of a deal overcomes disdain for a game. One of these days even I will buy Red Dead Redemption.

How come you don't like Red Dead? Hope you don't mind me asking.

It scares me to even think about all the hours of my life that I have spent playing picross/3D. No other game even comes close. It's still my number one bog game. And the game I play in bed before falling asleep. Illust Logic is almost always in my DS by default

No kidding! I've been playing non-stop since I got it.
Really addicting.
And it does get harder. It really teases my brain!

Let each other know what game(s) you just bought, price and why. It helps others find out about games they may not have otherwise considered.
Last couple of days:
Alice in Wonderland, DS $13.99 - Got it because it was nominated for best game no-one played at Gamespot.
Darksiders, PS3, $14.99 - Got it because of Leo and Homer's GOTY threads, and a comment Archie made.
9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors, DS, $34.99 - Heard good things about it on the Warning a Huge Podcast show (wahp.jp). It was brought up in their Persona conversation.
