YESTERDAY Dude!  Remember we are in the future, like Japan. LOL  And thank you.

I listened to a documentary about the Mexican Revolution (at least the period from 1910 through 1929 -- but is also covered Diaz's rise from the late 1800's.  VERY interesting stuff.  Do they teach all the details of that in schools in Mexico? It's one of the most interesting revolutions in modern world history.

I am not ashamed to say I know nothing about Australia Day. I hope it was good for you guys whatever it was. I assume its something like Independence Day.

Which brings me to a question from the sheltered American that doesn't know much of any other country, how much do other countries know about foreign national holidays. I can tell you I know nothing except America and Canada, and Canada only cause they out their holidays in our calenders. I know Cinco de Mayo only cause its a day to get drunk, and I really have no clue what it celebrates. Are most aware of what the 4th of July is, I assume cause of movies and stuff its a pretty well known date.

Ethnocentrism is not exclusive to the US.  As for Australia Day, it's just another public holiday, completely meaningless.  Only thing about this one is it's one of those lame ones that are always celebrated on an actual date, so you can't use it for a 3-day weekend.
