I never stopped following them, but I don't think I'd ever feel right pulling for them. Plus I really don't like Mark Cuban anymore. I used to respect the hell out of the guy, but more and more I see him starting to become the next generation's Donald Trump. Plus after he tried to get involved with buying the Texas Rangers after Nolan Ryan's group pretty much had a done deal, I've had a hard time not wanting to shoot him.
Cuban's nothing like Trump. Trump was a trust baby who is famous for being a lout. Cuban is self-made.
If you are talking about bombast... maybe you've got a point, but Cuban has humility.
In any case...
I honestly didn't think the Lakers would get swept out of the play-offs. If there is not a lock-out it will be interesting to see what the Lakers do with their line-up.
With Cuban I think it goes beyond bombast. A lot of the noise he's makes is strictly for self-promotion and I can't help but be confused with it. Apperances on WWE RAW, Dancing With the Stars, meeting with Charlie Sheen for god's sake. . . he's crossing the Trump line more and more. But I agree he did work for his money by using his brains (even though the broadcast.com sale was one of the biggest overpriced sucker bets of all time).
And wow I got to admit seeing the Lakers get embarrassed today was a shocker. I honestly thought they'd threepeat. This is just a shock. Congrats to Dallas.
I got to say the NBA post-season has been excellent this year. There's so many different stories going whereas last year I thought it was really bland. Basically it was "will the Laker repeat?" and "can Lebron finally win a ring?" Maybe there was some interest in the Orlando Magic too, though I couldn't fairly judge if that was on a national scale or if it was just a bunch of local hype.
This year though it's just amazing. You've got an 8th seat playing far beyond what was ever expected of them. The Celtics/Heat grudge match going on with both teams having tons at stake. This is probably the last time the Celts will have a chance to win another title and of course everyone is watching to see if the Heat's assembled team with finally get Lebron that ring. We went from wondering if the Lakers could 3-peat to watching what can only be described as an epic meltdown. And there's still plenty of good match-ups left. Can't wait for tonight.
I think I had three heart attacks tonight.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! One more to go and then we wait for the winner of the dog fight series.

Nice game for your boys ! Looking good for them!
That was a nice win, felt like a statement game. I think the Bulls will win the next game. Cant wait for the Conference Finals to begin.
Yeah I was thinking as I posted, the Lakers are not done until they lose tomorrow. If they win that game it would give them life and they do have talent, but yeah they look old and slow.
