So I was wondering, how many of you are multi lingual? What languages do you speak and what languages do you want to learn in teh future?

I speak, Dutch, English and Serbian. I would want to learn Russian and Japanese. Russian because it is the most spoken Slavic language and I figure it would be easier to learn than most languages, because it share similarities with Serbian. Japanese, so I can understand Jump Ultimate Superstars and play and watch untranslated games/anime.

Your turn!

Obviously English and I can fake knowing French well enough. Generally I can read it, and if someone speaks to me slowly and like I'm a 4 year old I can understand them. Trying to become conversationally fluent in French again is something I want to work on one of these days.

And I know a lot of nasty insults in Spanish and Brazlian-Portugese.

i am fairly fluent in english and greek.  i know a bit of german (can get by without having to use English at all during a holiday) and i can use menus and public transport directions/instructions in French and Spanish.

i want to learn proper german (i really like the sound of it and i've started it so I might as well learn it), then possibly spanish (most native speakers after mandarin and spoken in many countries i want to visit) and/or french (because it sounds sexy and sophisticated).  i enjoy learning languages and can pick them up fairly quickly but I need to be more disciplined about it

I can speak with someone in Spanish pretty well, I cannot write it. I can read it fairly well.  I took about 30 units of it in college.

So, are there more people? Steel, Vader?

Surprised to see that I speak the most languages here. I thought there would be people that speak at least four languages. My sister speaks five.
