Just started playing this again today. God the physics really can be a pain in the butt, especially when you're working with bombs...those two fucking carts on the level where you've got to rescue someone from gaol...UGH!

Yet despite that it still manages to be a lot fun, especially in-cop, even though the second player doesn't really have anything to do except in the 2 player areas.

It usually can be, if you just hit "cancel".

On the US Site the second you buy something you cannot cancel it because the order is "in process"  they do let you canx pre-orders though.

Speaking of buying games online, I just got Hakuna Matata, AKA Africa from play-asia for $40 AU. It's the Korean version which has an english version.  It is described as being like Pokemon Snap with PS3 graphics (and less train).

I just played LBP only two levels though.

Visually gorgeous and the charm is almost on overload. But I do get that vibe like someone was saying before about how it knows its cool. It's not like the crude absurdity of Rhythm Heaven which is so uncool it becomes cool.

The camera seems a bit too close in to me and the platforming seems very basic. Mostly what impressed was being able to design and download levels. But the actual gameplay and even design of levels seemed a little simplistic. With a 2-D platformer I want the camera zoomed out, I want to be able to see a sprawling, interactive playground. The levels I played in LBP seemed like left to right gameplay but everything was so close it was a little mundane in parts.

I did see a really cool racing level someone made, all neon.

Were they earlier levels? The game doesn't hit its stride until the latter ones when you've got everything moving around you and what not IMO. All of a sudden it is, as apsro would say, literature. Nyaa
