You guys tried watching a show in bed before falling asleep? I found that a story based show had me thinking about that whilst trying to fall asleep rather than problems.

Baseball is a great one to fall asleep to because you can watch at first, then close your eyes and listen and still follow along.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile

I find ocean and space documentaries soothing to listen to and will often fall asleep to them.

My wife uses apps on her phone that have the sounds of the ocean to help her.  She even has one with a guy that sounds like Sean Connery.  Seems to work for her.

Have you guys ever watched Gardeners World? It's a BBC program and hosted by Monty Don. This guy and program can send anything to sleep. I imagine he talks to himself in a mirror and just drops. https://youtu.be/2lRAhw7u8vA

The one biological advantage I was given in life, is that I can sleep. In fact, if I'm feeling nervous or anxious I immediately begin to yawn. As far as my body is concerned, the best way to deal with stress is to go to sleep and forget anything is happening.

I find the sound of rainfall helps me sleep. Unless it’s followed by thunder and lightning. Nyaa

So if you regularly can't sleep, why not get up and get stuff done?

When I had bad insomnia, that's what I did. Or played games.

That said, if I can't sleep now I do just stay in bed and rest as best I can.

Maybe the problem is we're too old to use inomnia usefully now.

Well it seems at least MS is thinking of all you insomniacs: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2021-08-09-xbox-is-getting-a-night-mode-to-dim-your-screen-controller-and-power-button
