Price was already confirmed to be about £179 in the UK, bringing the whole Oculus shebang in line with the price of a Vive. How do you feel about having spent / being forced to spend, as much as a Vive on a technically less accomplished Oculus? Genuine question, not trolling you.

I'm fine, vive is more room scale and I can't do that. Touch does that to an extent but it's more about the motion control. Plus oculus has true exclusives while I can play every vive game.
Tons to cover so I will try to summarize it, not that any of you really care. You still care about games so you can just look at the new trailers for some oculus exclusives, some games look awesome.
Lets start with games, 4A creators of Metro have Arktika1 which is some kind of FPS which motion controls, looks awesome.

Next we have a new game from Ready at Dawn called Lone Echo, this looks to be more storydriven.

The best one though doesnt even seem to be a full game, its a FREE game from Epic called Robo Recall

Now that looks fun as hell!
Now for the news:
- MINIMUM SPECS DROPPED because they have come up with new advancements in frame rate rendering that allows them to run at 45fps while displaying at 90fps by using new techniques that synthetically create frames.
- PROTOTYPE WIRELESS RIFT in the works
- FACEBOOK VR will create avatars for you and your friends and you can do all kinds of things in a virtual space including taking facetime calls inside VR so you can video chat with a person in real life that sees you as a virtual avatar in a virtual world while the other virtual people can see the face time as well because it is virtually represented inside that world. INCEPTION. Avatar facial animations are really good.
- RIFT AVATARS AND PARTY ROOMS, this is different from facebook avatars as its the Rifts avatar system and party chat. So you and other rift players can create a virtual room, customize your avatar and hang out. Watch videos, play board games and so on in virtual reality.
- TONS more shown like the 3D sculting programs, Quill an amazing animation program that is getting use from sundance film festival. Education programs. Programs to get VR into hospitals for kids in cancer wards. Tons of good non gaming related stuff, the kind of stuff that shows VR will one day be a normal part of our lives.
Oculus Touch comes out on Dec. 6th for $200. Two free games included.
Are you getting the Occulus Touch? The avatar stuff seems kind of cool.
Oculus is having their keynote address at their big event today. Starts in a few hours. It will reveal all the touch release info.
By now you know how disappointed I have been with VR at its state on the rift. I feel this is the missing piece, the part that finally makes it feel like a new gaming experience. At least that is what I hope so I am excited for this and I am ready to spend the stupid amount of money they will charge for these controllers.
If you don’t care for VR you can still come in here and comment at how dead VR is already and laugh at me.
