Ok so I talked to Timmy about giving supplies to make a bigger store.  Then my wife plays and actually wants to donate some supplies, but it won't even bring up that option.  Is there a way so that everyone can contribute?  She pretty ticked that the game will be limiting what can be donated and by who?

Have them throw stuff on the ground outside the store. You pick it up and give it to them.

WTF, some of the tips in this video are great

You can bury bells in the golden hole and it will grow into a bell tree for instance.

We are going to do that but that is not how she wants to play.  She wishes we could have separate islands.

You guys have planted your tents right next to each other. It looks like a U.N camp

So I have a conumdrum.

Apart from you guys, all my many switch friends have come from people I have played Splatoon with.

Most are therefore unknown as there is no messaging service.

I have a user who came over and keeps coming over and is best friended. They are polite mostly and fun. But even when my gate isn't open they message me to open my gate.

When here they follow me around incessantly so I can never get anything done. If I am chopping wood, they pick it up before I can. When I shake a tree they take some of my fruit.

In the last trip though, they chopped down 3 trees and destroyed 3 rocks. She/he is otherwise a good person, friendly and plays a lot. On the negative side you can't do some stuff when people are visiting from other islands.

So what is the etiquette here? I have already had some awkward text chat with other people.

"Add me as best friend"

"not yet"

"why not?"

"I don't want my town dug up or trees cut down"

"I swear I wont"

Errrrrrr. And now if I de-best friend someone our chats are going to be awkward:

"why did u remove me?" etc

I have constructed a bamboo sacred circle with a tanuki in the middle and people just want to grab my bamboo. As I don't have an abundant supply of it and you cannot plant the branches you chop off, they literally want to rip a whole plant away from me. And I have no way of replacing it, it will destroy my structure.

WTF?

  • If you see a shooting star, press A and the star fragments will be on the beach the next day
  • Some bugs will only show up on stumps

Its because the game wont let you pole vault across rivers till later, so you had to locate all houses in a cramped space.

I think my camp is a day ahead of yours, your museum and shop should open soon. I went to someone elses island and it was all tents and weeds.

It seems like you need the lead player(first one?) to initiate certain things.  My wife said we couldn't have a museum until she played as my character.  Is there a way to make her the lead because she will definitely play more than me.

Any luck with that yet? Our son's the leader, but we grownups are going mad from his snail's pace.

I don't have an answer to that. Like I said my wife tried to donate to get a bigger store but the dialogue didn't trigger for her.  Who the hell wants to drop stuff for another to pick up constantly?

Lol I just read about gg's woes. Let them burn gg. If they behave like savages they have no business to conduct in the town of a well behaved English gentleman.

On other set of news my wife finally joined us! Now coop play is orders of magnitude more hectic, annoying and fun.
