So last night I accidentally spilled water all over my laptop - screen, keyboard, speakers. the whole deal. At first it seemed fine, but then it slowly started to get worse. I turned it off and put it upside down with some paper towels, but it doesn't appear to have done anything.

I guess the water formed some kind of circuit and ruined some keys? If you have any advice, let me know. I don't thinyk remapping the keyboard will help at all. I'm probably stuck like this until February unless the bookstore has a USB keyboard (unlikely).

For reference, keys I've noticed affected are:

b = bt5
n = ny6
t = bt5v
y = ny6m

Ctrl key = gone entirely
Shift key = doesn't work for capitalization of some letters

=, -, [ keys = all produce =[- at the same time

Up arrow = gone entirely

5 = bt5
6 = ny6

(On numpad)
6 = /-6
7 = 79+
9 = 79+2
/*-+ = all messed

Fuck bt5vhabt5v was hard bt5vo bt5vny6mpe.

Just leave it to dry given it's just water.  It could take a while, but don't touch it for a day or two if you can.  Leaning it vertically is also preferrable.
