Seriously, it was neverending so I looked and... WTF?

Who even releases batches of screens that large. Stoopid PR guys.

Anyhow, didn't Raven software do Soldier of Fortune, which have been crapola since the DC days?

Raven needs to halt working on gimmicky crap like this until it finishes Wolfenstein.

They developed the good ones: SoF 1 & 2. The only questionably good games they've made are the X-Men Legends games, and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, but those at least sold well, I guess.

If you can kill everyone by just waving your hand, doesn't it kind of defeat the purpose of guns? I know they'll probably make a dumb power bar that you have to wait to refill, just saying.

It looks great, and sound interesting, but let's remember how pretty much all time-bending FPSers turn out...

Dunno about this one. Something about it just does not sit well with me.

Is it just me...or does the general concept of this game almost kinda seem similar to Wolfenstein? The new one, I mean. Doesn't the whole swapping between two versions of the same level, with the odd difference just seem a tad too similar to the same fucking game Raven is making?

Finally watched the trailer, stunning visuals but the physics, argh.

Ever since Elebits I can't stand looking at these pretty games where you hover the cursor over an object, press a button to suck it towards you and then press it again to fire it off into the distance and watch it rebound. You can do so much more in the way you interact with objects, it pains me. All this tech and physics is still being used in games like Dead Space of HL2 in this useless way that basically substitutes a bullet for an explosive barrel.

Anyhow, the preview:

Not only is Singularity not just another TimeShift, it looks like it could be one of the most unique shooters in years, incorporating the time controls so they don't just feel like a gimmick.

Unlike TimeShift, which simply allowed you to reverse or stop time, Singularity will actually allow you to manipulate time in a much deeper way, which looks like it should lead to much more interesting scenarios. For instance, if you find a rusted-out barrel on the ground, you can either revert it to its 1950s state (apparently they had explosive barrels even then!) or move it forward in time to break it down completely. When using the time powers on an enemy (in the Xbox 360 version, the left and right bumpers control backward and forward, respectively), you can either revert them to a primordial creature that will attack other enemies, or cause them to decay right in front of your eyes, killing them instantly.

That's all simplifying things quite a bit, as we saw dozens of instances that the time powers could be used in combat. When the demo player came up to an area in which enemies were firing at him from a balcony, he decided to decay the struts holding it up rather than try to shoot them, which lead to them plunging to their deaths. You'll also be able to use "chronostasis," which is similar to the gravity gun in Half-Life 2, except it will also freeze the object you grab in time. So, if an enemy tosses a grenade at you, it can be grabbed out of the air and held without risk of explosion. Of course, not everything in the world can be manipulated, so you'll be able to use a "ping" to make changeable objects highlighted.

It sounds pretty cool, although I have a feeling that like Stranglehold, this gameplay gimmick will rely on designated areas being made with triggerpoints for time manipulation. So when you try it on non-movable things, the illusion will be broken, like having many doors and only being able to go through one.
