Looks pretty cool, some nice costumes. You know I could totally get into this kind of stuff but I guess since not a lot of these kinds of events were around me the oppotunities didn't really present themselves. I should look around harder to see what might be around locally for me now as I could really enjoy this myself.

These cons are getting more and more common, and I completely atttribute it to cosplay and costuming. That brought in hot chicks to the conventions and it sort of became just a "cool geek" kind of thing to do. If you live near any major city, odds are there's something nearby. Some are certainly better than others, but there's at least a dozen that are more party-cons like this. If you give me an idea of what part of the country you're in I might be able to make a suggestion or two.
Oh and that reminds me there was a videogame connection to this con. They actually had a game room here with big screens and every system imaginable, and on the Wii they actually a Japanese copy of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and I got to spend about 30 minutes on that. Pretty cool game, but boy oh boy I bet it was better if I knew some moves.

Anyway I live in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, Canada. It's a US border city at the hub of the Great Lakes. I'd imagine there'd be some good ones in large places like Toronto or maybe close in the US. Toronto would probably be a good place for me as I have some friends and family in that area. Pretty cool that you got to play Tats vs Capcom as I'm really looking forward to that game.

Well I do have a large majority of family who live out there. Yeah I'm very disappointed in the Hounds as well. How dare they lose last night's game. Now they're 7 - 1. Oh the shame.

The biggest one in Canada is Fan Expo Canada and it's a big one and just happens to be in Toronto. http://www.hobbystar.com/fanexpo/index.php Unfortunately it just happened last month so there's a good long 11 months to go.
From what I've read it's a top line con with very very big names and it runs the full spectrum; comics, sci-fi, gaming, horror, anime, etc. If this wasn't around the same time as another big one that is held in Atlanta I'd actually consider checking it out (assuming that felony I committed in Nova Scotia 15 years ago wouldn't come back to haunt me....

Hey all. Just wanted to show off what I was doing this weekend. As a couple of you know I do the whole convention scene and my favorite one happens to be in my own backyard.
