"Gay Flight Attendants - Can someone fill me on how this profession got linked with gay men, I don't see the connection. But its absolutely true, almost every other flight there is a homosexual flight attendant. I don't ask them of course, many are flamboyant, like right out of a movie. All flight attendants in my flights have been great."
Because previously it was a woman only profession. Just as male nurses are meant to be all gay, though that stereotype is probably a bit outdated.
When I went to the USA west coast, I didn't see this obesity epidemic that we keep hearing about over here.
One stereotype was that old people love slot machines and play right the way through the night at 4:00am and shit.

West coast like LA, thats where the beautiful people are, go to the middle of the country.
Yes old people love slots.
Yeah I know all about black women and their weaves. Mrs. Robio opened up that whole world to me. Fact is black do not naturally have straight or long hair and they need either chemical treatments or fake hair to make it that way. Usually a bit of both. Chris Rock did a really good documentary a couple years ago called "Good Hair" that was all about the hair industry for black women. It's absolutely remarkable.
Yeah I didn't realise that about african women and straight hair. There was this documentary on black beauty through the decades and it was saying about how the western straight hair ideals on beauty had factored into how african american women had straightened their hair.

Ever since I started to travel I have seen new locations and met all sorts of new people. In my journeys I have seen popular stereotypes come to life. So here are a few I have noticed:
Gay Flight Attendants - Can someone fill me on how this profession got linked with gay men, I don't see the connection. But its absolutely true, almost every other flight there is a homosexual flight attendant. I don't ask them of course, many are flamboyant, like right out of a movie. All flight attendants in my flights have been great.
Gun toting, football loving, Rebublican southern folk - Especially in Alabama. They have at least 2 FM radio stations where they talk nothing but politics, all right wingers. Their morning shows are all about how Obama sucks and how can the Republicans take back the country, meanwhile in many major cities you get shock jock djs, so at least they are very much into their politics compared to blue states. They love football, one time the first thing I heard when I turned on the radio was a woman on a sports talk station going nuts on how Auburn will repeat. Her voice I swear changed into a man growl as she went on and on. Also I have noticed that they still have values from the old days, almost everyone I speak to there is married and has kids by 20. Where I am from 30 is the new 20, so its strange to me. And they are amazingly hard working, nice people.
Black women and wigs/weaves - Did you know that maybe half the black women you see have fake hair? Its crazy, about 80% of black women I have had as patients have a wig on. There is a part of the test where I have to put sensors on the back of the head, so I have to get to the scalp. Almost all the time I have a black woman I have to either work my way around the wig or have them take it off. I will say this is more of a middle aged kind of thing, I don't see younger black women doing this. As for women of other races, I had one woman with a wig and she was very old. It's definetly something that is part of the culture, I really didn't know about it before I started the job and now I see its pretty commonly well known.
This isn't a stereotype but it is one other observation I have had. Above all, almost every single person I have met have been kind and respectful. The nerve test I do causes some pain, its not an easy test. It's invasive, its annoying, its time consuming. And yet pretty much everyone is as nice as can be. The main thing I have seen is that people as a whole are GOOD. It's sad that we always focus on the negative cause there is so much more good out there.
I maybe forgetting a few, if you guys can think of any or you have also encountered some of your own please share.
