I did really enjoy the Direct itself. Like the system and its features and functionality. Quite a good showcase of games. Really liked:
- Mario Kart World
- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
- Bravely Default: Flying Fairy
- Kirby Air Riders
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World
- Metroid Prime 4 Switch 2 Edition
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition
- Donkey Kong Bananza
- The Duskbloods
- GameCube on NSO
I also like seeing some great third party games coming to the Switch 2. I already have both Street Fighter 6 and Elden Ring on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. May grab the Switch 2 versions as well.
If I ever buy another console...looks like it will be a Steam Deck!
VRR is confirmed.
Cyberpunk comes on a 64gb card.
Game key cards are being sold which you can sell on, as a digital download. As long as someone owns the key cart they can plug it in and play the game.

The PlayStation 5 was launched on November 12, 2020, with two versions available. The standard edition, which includes a disc drive, was priced at $499.99 USD, while the digital edition, which does not include a disc drive, was priced at $399.99 USD
Interesting, 2020 was before covid and Ukraine war so it was in the pre-inflation period. So back then $499 would in real terms have been a lot more than today, where inflation has been rampant across all goods.
The Japan only Switch 2 is like £320 but region locked. Apparently Japan has a really weak yen. You would think it would cost more for them, not less.

There's tons of stuff they are saving for later. 3D Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Splatoon and more.
Monolithsofts new game.
Tons of 3rd party stuff not shown, not a single Microsoft game showed up.
Screen appears to be a very high quality mini LED screen.
Rich said that Metroid Prime 4 running at 4k 60fps was beyond his expectations.
Donkey Kong Bananza seems to be 1080p 60fps GG Edit (no way that's true going off the treehouse footage, it looked much higher)
Duskbloods trailer video seems to have been sampled and resampled in a weird way that made it look choppy.
Mario Kart World first
●Wow character animations are excellent
●4 courses per cup, linked in one physical world
●Nice visuals, huge levels
●You can ride rails and wall ride, not just at predetermined walls. You ride the wall and can bump off it
● Race to get to the next track, they're not going off road yet though
● LOD on road surfaces seem to blur out sooner than I'd like
● You can do multiple air tricks in succession
● Looks like, in design and graphics like MK8 on steroids
● Seems to be physics involved in car handling, everything feels more tactile
● Grind on train tracks
●
● ooh day turned to night
● old school DK level dodging barrels
● Free roaming now, go anywhere
● Could have made a decent Diddy kong adventure mode, but no?
● good to discover secret routes
Donkey Kong Bananaza next
● new design is awesome
● whoa shit, the shaders are crazy
● tons of destruction
● looks way better than the trailer
● the stream is in 4k, everything looks better than what we saw yesterday
● does have a very plastic aesthetic, quite shiny
● buttery frame rate
● you can pick up different shaped debris and smash shit up
● echo locate secrets by hand slapping
● multiple ways around areas, do it your own way, pretty impressive
● free form destruction that has gameplay implications
● the cutscene animation seems movie level good
● if Rare was still at the top of their game and still with Nintendo, this looks like how you would imagine a 3D donkey Kong game, looks insanely good
● make music with sidekick
● underground baboon town
Metroid Prime 4 next
● looks incredible, should have just cancelled the s1 ver
● I'm watching on my HDR 2k phone, looks great, the blacks are deep, very atmospheric, can see hdr effect
● wtf, the character models look revamped over s1 samus in particular
● mouse controls, just place joycon flat
● this is a killer app for me
● yeah this is more than a switch 1 port, this looks like it was custom made for switch 2 from the start, the quality is top tier
● It looks like a ps5 game to me at times, just going off videos I've seen
● I have no tech knowledge but the reflections look raytraced to me, they look as good as Cyberpunk PC raytracing to me and they're everywhere in this boss fight
● no they ended it!
Up next MARIO KART WORLD again. Errr

Metroid Prime 4 looks awesome!
Wish I could + 1000 your post.
Metroid x Donkey Kong x Mario Kart World alone makes this year amazing.
Donkey Kong is insane, there was this point where this guy got stuck in a room and free form, physics based just smashed a rock wall to bits to make his own exit.

Yeah, those three games look fantastic.
