So Bleach has surprised me, from the end of season 8 to season 10 it's actually been pretty great. It doesn't have great continuity, so at first it will swap between the main storyline and side stories without warning you and you're left thinking - hang on weren't they in there, why are they here now? Once you understand that the main story is being cut up with side stories it becomes more understandable and it's fleshing out the world of the soul society a bit better. Bleach has been a mixed quality series in placed but overall I'd glad I stuck it through, there's some memorable and enjoyable stuff in there, if you have the willpower to power through.

Saw ep 2 of Un Go.

Not as good as the first, but what's annoying about this series is they throw up characters names/occupations in japanese text and with English subs. But they're only on screen for a couple of seconds and you have to really pause. It feels like a cop out, instead of properly introducing the murder suspects with dialogue and exposition they throw up: "Umi Ukamo - President Kawachimas daughter" in text.

But then, 2 seconds later they do it for another character and 2 seconds later another character. You get to a point where you haven't had enough time to digest all these similar sounding Japanese names and properly associate them with the character models in question. You have to be really on the ball and sharp in your mind to concentrate on this stuff sometimes.

I saw a 2 part story of Un Go, yeah this is the closest thing you will get to a Phoenix Wright Anime. There's not much comedy or courtroom stuff but otherwise this is right up there with what Phoenix Wright does great, leftfield crime scenarios, twists galore and a detective and his assistent on the case. Also  mixes in some weird supernatural elements.

Great stuff so far, but you have to really be on the ball and pause and read the names/character details that pop up every few minutes to follow the story properly.

There's only 11 episodes and 1 movie made. And it's done by BONES, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood studio

I just watched the 12th, and final episode of No Game No Life Season 1. Fantastic episode, and there was a major reveal after the end credits, setting up Season 2. Can't wait.  

I just watched three 30 second PV for Sword Art Online II. Holy shit! Sooo badass! Can't wait for season 2.

I started a hunt for music from Fairytail artists, came across "Idoling" it's a huge group of like 20-30, late teen to 30 year old Japanese girls, who do a lot of live concert stuff.

After watching this, I understand Rhythm Heaven a little better. There's even this weird video they did which is like they are talking to a lovestruck Japanese school kid - in first person no less.

Sword Art Online II

Episode 1 aired this morning, and (I think) SOA fans crashed Crunchyroll's servers! I couldn't access the site until now, anyway. Good first episode, that sets up this season well. I can't wait to see more. It's going to be painful to have to wait a week to see each episode, though.
