It's most likely four. There are four giant beasts on the edges map you get from the collectors edition. There are four main helpers you team up with, one from each tribe.

Bugger them with a blunt master sword I say, I'm not going to pay for Zelda DLC. What's next? GOTY editions? Gaming has finally infected Nintendo.

Can't say I like it either but Nintendo has done a decent job with paid DLC that has value. The extra Mario Kart tracks were $15 and almost had to the content of an entirely new game. The Smash Bros bundles were decent value if you were buying them all together. At the very least they were on part with what other companies do with fighting game DLC. It will be interesting to see what direction they go with this.

So far I've been pretty satisfied with how Nintendo does dlc. Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros., and Hyrule Warriors did dlc pretty well.
I'm not convinced. All the previous DLC was for games that offer short bursts of gameplay, where it's easy to seamlessly slot in additional content. I wonder if they'll be to pull it off as elegantly in an open world game. Will it show where this extra content is supposed to slot in? And will it be an integral part of the lore, or will it be a standalone addition? How long will it be?
I find stuff like extra characters or tracks easier to stomach than this.

Well, I'm okay with as long as those tiny mini dungeons aren't pushovers and offer tons of gameplay goodness...and game mini bosses.

How do we know that? We knew from the beginning that something like the bird fortress would probably be a dungeon. But maybe there are more dungeons than just these beasts. You know like in the old Zelda after you did the first few dungeons other dungeons open up. Or maybe not

There could be but there has been nothing that indicates it's so. Manybe nintendo has done the most amazing job of hiding most of this game but I doubt it.
Ok, so what I'm reading from the Zelda Gaf thread, there are some interesting rumors about .
Spoilers, spoiler, spoilers, spoilers from here on out.
Some people have gotten a hold of the guide and say there are six legitimate, old school dungeons. That part is cool, that a good number.
Now some crazy rumor stuff:
There's a lot of talk about robots, mechanical beasts, that the sages control. Yes, robots in Zelda. The Last one has no known sage so could it be yours?
Sounds great to me. I'm wondering how many true dungeons there are? Some hinted at just four but no proof.
