Great graphics, I thought the story was pretty good, really liked the characters Fran and Balthier, really like the gambit system and license board thing, and thought the enemy and boss designs were very cool.

And the main characters, Ashe and even moreso Vaan, are mind-numbingly dull. Meanwhile...aw screw it. I wasted 70 hours on that game, that's more than enough without spending more on it here

Perhaps although they didn't bother me all that much. I put in well over 100 hours into that game and found it to be a great experience and time well-spent.

The characters! Oh God the characters! Basche was originally going to be the star of the game...it should've stayed that way. Basche, Baltheir, and Fran were interesting (well Fran was at least somewhat)...but everyone else...I mean what? Compare the FFXII party to the FFX in terms of variety, depth, uniqueness, etc.
Also am I the only one who thought that Vaan and Penelo were far too young to be the main characters? I'd have no problem with the usual Final Fantasy age of 19-22 but they were like 15 or 16...

The age would have been fine if either of them had ANY BLOODY RELEVANCE TO THE STORY! Neither of them seemed to give a shit about what was going on. Vaan just wanted to screw the princess and Penolo did literally nothing. Oh, and the only reason everyone loves Balthier is because all the other characters were so crap.

Which was greatly exagerated by the mediocre cast.
Not really. I just finished playing one of the greatest RPG's ever right before the game too.

Even with the rest of the mediocre cast he barely stood out. 
If you're going to rely on badass you need to be able to do a round-house kick and he couldn't.
Personally, I like the KH games for the graphics, story (I'm a bit of a sucker for when companies do crossovers), combat, and also perhaps because I didn't dive into them expecting an RPG. I see it more of an action/adventure with a leveling feature.
Listen to Iced Earth and play Doom
