Thanks guys.  'Tis a good place to hang around.  All of you seem much more open minded to things Nintendo related, and overall less jaded and cynical then people in most other places.  Well, all save for Foolz that is.

And it shows that this place is custom built as well.  The news discussion in particular really encourages conversation, something that is often missing in places that can't rely on huge amounts of traffic.

Hey, I take umbrage! Hrm

...I'm as open minded to Nintendo as anyone. Nyaa

P.S. Excuse my addled recollection if this has been explained elsewhere, but do you originate from GameSpot or the Ring of Fire; or did you actually happen upon the site spontaneously?

I hail from the proud clan of Gamespot prior to Gerstmanngate.  If anything I'm a VU wanker.  I stumbled upon this place after following Phantom_Leo through the rabbit hole, chasing the rumour that GG resided here.

GASP

...  GASP !  UMBRAGE!  I take umbrage!

The Virtual Underground.  Similar story to the Ring of Fire I suppose, although what's left of the VU these days is very much dead.  'Twas home for a long time though.

Out of you and Randolph, it seemed as if he was going to stick around and you weren't. Now he's a mod and still stuck in the swamp that is GameSpot's General Game discussion...

Oh well, I guess you can't save everyone...

I'm not liking what they did to WW.  When they first showed it it looked distinctly different.  Now it's exactly the same as the GC game, just with marginally better lighting and more pixels.

Also, I do not like being here.  Phantom_Leo only managed to lure me in by telling me GamingGeek was here  angry

Ahhh... I remember it like it was yesterday...!

No reason to put Wanker in small font.  It's a badge of honour.  Happy

And Randolph's a mod again?  Ooooh, Randolph...  Sad  So that's why I haven't seen him around any place anymore.  Have the Gamespot boards improved any, or are they still the same mess they were a year ago?

I put it in small cause most of the guys here wouldn't understand the significance, and, no, GameSpot is no better. Probably worse. There's three types of people there now: (1)Trolls. (2)Spambots. (3)People who post to get their post count up to appear on the Rankings on each forum. There's no sense of community there --AT ALL-- anymore.

That was the initial idea.

Wow, I haven't heard that in years, literally years. I had forgotton about it. Nintendo fans were sheep, Xbots were obvious, what were Sony fans called on System Wars?

Sony fans were cows, Microsoft fans were lemmings, and PC fans were hermits.
