How do you know your sheep are self aware? Because I work with animals is not an valid argument.

I fell for the rhetorical trap of defending a position that is not my own.  Self-aware or not no animal should be killed.  My reason is that they should not be killed because they have the capacity to feel pain.

In any case, my error for commenting on an issue I care about.  I'm checking out.

Animals that have passed the mirror test include: all of the great apes (bonobos, chimpanzees, orangutans, humans, and gorillas), rhesus macaques, bottlenose dolphins, orcas,  elephants, and European Magpies.

Of course, this doesn't work so great on bats.
