In the absence of Dirt 3 I've been playing Gran Turismo 5 for 1.5-2 hours at a time when I mean to play for 30 minutes.

I've been playing some online Rocket League this weekend.  And in anticipation for The Phantom Pain, I've started Ground Zeroes again.

I have been in-between games since finishing my time with Pandora's Tower.  Finding it hard to settle down on any one game and play it to completion.  Also don't want to start anything long and complicated as I'm leaving for vacation in three days.

I'm thinking perhaps another platformer.  Maybe Rayman Origins, Klonoa or Warioland Shake Dimension

No, not quite.  Just back to the U.S. for a couple of weeks.

I say start playing Splatoon.  It's ideal for those of us with too litlle disposable time to commit outselves to anything meatier.  Also, we of the SQUID ( "Splatoon Quality recognition Union for Individual forumite Persuasion" - we rotated the P to look like a D, because acronyms) would also like to remind you of our now one-off and sadly failed, but as of next week weekly and wildly succesfull, Splathours on Saturday 21h00 UTC.

I wasn't going to get Splatoon originally because ... shooters.  Then I decided to get it because ... VGPress.  But I made a deliberate decision not to get it until September when I will be back from vacation and back to work.  So I put it in the same order as Mario Maker and clicked on "send me all my items at once".  Hopefully by then, the VGP Splathour will be a well established thing with full participation.

I recommend it Nyaa ... I go as often as I can even though within the space of a few short years everything seems to have doubled in price at least.  Tickets, motels, restaurants ... everything.

^Yeah that is what I had heard. It was land of the cheap for as long as I lived there, but now everyone is screwed. Bread and circuses.

So Americans used to have everything at a quarter of the price, rather than half as they do now? Hrm

I've been playing Legacy of Kain Defiance on the XBOX, Valkyria Chronicles on the PC, and nibbling around with a few other games.

I still haven't gone back to Batman....got a few hours into it and just stopped playing and have had no real desire to play it. Not because its bad, but I guess it just felt so similar to what I've already played that I'm just kind of burned out. Plus, I had played a few open world games right before Batman....that didn't help.

For me it was like ... "wow this is way cheaper than it would have been anywhere in Europe and it's a fraction of what it would have been in the UK.  Yeah, I'd love to leave you guys 30% tip."

Now it's like ... "OK, this is pretty expensive.  In fact more expensive than it would have been in some places in Europe!  Do you really expect me to leave a 20% tip on top of this?  frown"

I'm just surprised none of you chaffs are playing Gears Of War. A real game, for real men.

Who needs men when you've got squids and tentacles?  It's something the Japanese have known for years already.
