I'll have to check that out as I really like the sound of that. Yeah Netflix has been doing quite well for itself over the last little while. I really like Daredevil and House of Cards. I've watched the the entire first season and part of season 2 of DD and have only watch a few episodes of HoC.
Stranger Things is on my watching queue on Netflix. Been hearing lots of good things about it.
Now that I have exhausted most of the TV series I am interested in I've been atching up on 20 years of movies I have missed.
I have to say, the selection (in Australia) is looking a bit thin.
I still have to watch fullmetal and daredevil though.
I've heard it sucks tward the end. And it is not on Netflix in Au.

No, the first season is sucky. Everything else is pretty awesome.
I think that completes the variety of opinions nicely.
I think the first and last seasons suck, the middle seasons are good.
Dunno, haven't watched it. Was only expanding upon Robio's variety theory.
For anyone who might need a Game of Thrones itch scratched, may I present a British show now on Netflix (or possibly basic cable if you're GG) called The Last Kingdom. It's basically the Saxons vs. the Danes (various English guys trying to fight Vikings if you need that dumbed down). Its nowhere near as epic as GoT, but it's got a lot of intrigue, sword fighting, pillaging, and just a touch of magic. It kept me occupied for eight 1-hour episodes at any rate.
If you dont watch Stranger Things you are an asshole. I saw it all in two days, incredible show, feels just like an 80s kid sci fi movie. Just like the 80s it shows kids respect that they can handle tough themes and this show has it all. Excellent cast, story, music, its a love letter to 80s fans. And lets face it, the 80s were the best for this kind of stuff.
Started wathcing stranger things, keeping it to one show per night. Fucking awesome spielberg tribute band. (Tribute bands are uniformly better than the original).
Apparently season 2 has already been greenlit, but by some accounts season one ends on a perfect note (I am only up to ep 4).
Netflix has been on a damn roll with their original content for the last few years, and honestly has gotten good enough that I've officially scrapped my cable subscription. Case in point what I'm watching now - Stranger Things.
Stranger Things is an homage to early 80's horror movies as well as 80's kid adventure movies like The Goonies and Flight of the Navigator. It is far better than I expected. In fact I really don't want to even call it an homage. It feels like a movie or tv series from the 80's, without feeling like parody or anything like that. There's no "wink wink nudge nudge" about being in the 80's (see the god awful X-men Apocalypse if you want to see something like that). If you told me this came out in 1983, like it is set in, I totally would have bought it. Hell, the soundtrack even sounds like it was made by John Carpenter.
At any rate, I don't want to spoil anything, but if you're up for a good horror series this is really worth checking out. It's 8 one-hour episodes long, so not a huge investment of time and by episode 4 you should be hooked.
