Oh. Sad

It’s still enjoyable but the quality definitely drops.

Halfway through the fourth episode. I got sick sometime last week while watching and got distracted. I need to start watching again.

I remember some of it because I watched the other series so some of the plot points seem familiar.

Yeah, at about episode 12 or so things start to radically diverge from the original series as that is when the anime production overtook the manga writer. So the rest of the original series was whatever Bones could make up. Brotherhood was done after the manga was complete.

I'm now on episode 7.

I stopped after episode 6. If I would've hit play next Netflix would have skipped the opening credits. I like that song.

I'm not sure if anyone else was interested in HBO's Andre the Giant documentary, but if you haven't seen it you can actually watch it on YouTube. Not sure why it hasn't been taken down, but it's been up for a few days already - https://youtu.be/aVoCM5UNJfk

Anyway, wrestling fan or not it was really well done and definitely worth a watch.

Yeah I caught it about a week ago and was very impressed.  I loved the whole build up to Wrestlemania 3.

Anyone checking out Cobra Kai on YouTube Red? Shockingly good. Completely respects the original Karate Kid movies in every way, but continues it and presents it from a different perspective.

Yeah I started the first episode and really enjoyed it.  I’m surprised at how good it was.  I’ll probably get a free trial of YouTube Red just to finish it.

I finished the season on Friday it was surprisingly good.

I didn't expect it because it is YouTube Red exclusive.

'It's so good I will sign up for a free trial'.  Quality endorsement, right there.

In fairness, unless you were using it as a music player for your phone there is really nothing else of value on YouTube Red. So, signing up for a free trial and then remembering to cancel your membership in order to watch Cobra Kai is actually a commitment.

Well if you watch YouTube a lot it is good because with YouTube Red you don't see any advertisements. Sometimes it gets annoying seeing the same ads everytime you click on a new video.

You don’t know how many times I’ve forgotten to cancel a free trial.  It really is a commitment. Nyaa

Besides, I’m already paying for Netflix, Stars and hbo.  I don’t really care for another subscription service.

I just finished the second season of The Tick on Amazon. Now that I have finally adjusted to the concept of the show, which makes Arthur the main character, I have really started to develop a much greater appreciation for how good the show actually is. The writers have tweaked things up just a little bit, and they have nailed the sense of oddness that they wanted. It's still not as funny as the tick cartoon was, but the show has its own weirdness to it that makes it its own beast.

I still wish they did more than 6 30 minute episodes, but maybe that's for the best. Every moment is used in these episodes, and I'm like some of the Marvel shows on Netflix, you don't constantly feel like you're just killing time waiting for something else to happen. Anyway, great stuff. I hardly recommend checking it out if you have not done so already.

The world cup. The best one since 2006; could be better depending on how the knockout stage goes.

Unsold on VAR. At least it's better than it was in the A-League, though. :X
