robio said:Okay Luke Cage is boring the fuck out of me. Five episodes in, and I'm questioning if I can make it through many more. Theres lots of problems with the show, but at this point hey just can't seem to make the bad guy seem enough like much of a threat. After Wilson Fisk, Kilgrave and The Hand, the bad guy on this show just feels like a few notchs above a common thug.
True but the rocket launcher! That's where I stopped, so cheesy awesome.
Ahh Kilgrave...
So hey Wii U owners, in case you did not notice they have updated the Netflix ap so you can watch on the gamepad. It works really well. Sure, I already have 15 other things to watch on, but the gamepad is at least more ergonomic than most flat tablets.

I knew that I have been watching Netflix on the Gamepad for months.
I started the Shannara Chronicles. I missed a few episodes when it aired live. I'm not sure when Season 2 premieres.
At first I was skeptical because it airs on MTV I liked the first season even if I started missing episodes and didn't get caught up until I decided to watch it.
It is an adaptation of the Shannara book series that have around 19 books in that series.
The TV series is from the two creators of the series Smallville in addition to John Favreau.

I hope that doesn't happen with the TV series.
I liked what I saw of season 1 which was based on the 2nd book in the series.

You've always been able to watch on the gamepad, you just had to hit the icon. The update they did made it worse because you no longer have the touch control panel on the U pad screen and it no longer auto dims when you are watching the feed on the TV.

I'm watching it, but I can't claim it to be good so far.
Finished Season 1 of Luke Cage. Really liked it. Blaxploitation vibes. Civil rights themes. Harlem noir. Cameo by Method Man. Music by Adrian Younge and tunes from Ghostface Killa, Raphael Saqiiq, the Delfonics and other Motown greats. What's there not to like?

Just watch the first season. The second season will just make you mad.
When it first aired I didn't like horror stuff. I'm now fine with horror stuff.
I could only watch half of the first episode because Netflix keeps buffering and it is annoying.
We don't have The Walking Dead on Netflix in Europe. Probably just as well as I might have been tempted back into it after I gave up at the end of season 4.
Started half watching The Shield now which is one of those cop shows I've been meaning to watch forever but never got round to starting.
It was pretty good so far.
The first episode is really long and boring. Gets so much better.
Just finished up the second season of Narcos and holy crap is this show good. The series so far has been my Resident Evil 4 of tv shows. It's not something that would normally appeal to me, but the quality is so good that it transcends my dislike of depictions of realistic violence or gore. Anyway, I loved how the second season ended. I was pretty sure they would be stuck without a plot to go forward with or that it would feel extremely forced if they did and the show would just be over at season 2, but that wasn't the case. Looks like season 3 will be going ahead at full steam in a logical and compelling direction.

It's good pulp fiction. And there's nothing wrong with that.
