You must have noticed it by now. I was watching some Final Fantasy Rebirth videos lately in passing. And I noticed it was very kind of old and cheesy in a very certain way.

It's a style I most associate with Japanese games and Capcom, that usually includes a dude or chick in sunglasses, waistcoats, pork pie hats, brogues, leather, flashy cutscenes and non-sensical story.

And all, very, very cheesy.

Bayonetta has that Capcom style. I'm starting to see these tropes as quite dated and they even seem like a parody, only they aren't.

Somewhere in Japan there are developers who think these elements are all cool. They are funny though.
