Since no one else is getting it this Friday. Mine will probably be delayed in the mail. indecision

I'm mostly interested in the single player after reading this today:

US Gamer reviews Splatoon - 4 out of 5

"The game's single-player is an absolutely amazing puzzle platformer that deserves some expansion"

The Escapist reviews Splatoon 9/10

"The game's single player is surprisingly in-depth for a title that has been marketed as a multiplayer game, combining elements of platforming and shooting in a style of game that reminds me of Rachet and Clank"

If they released the whole game tomorrow maybe I would get it. But they are waiting so I will wait too.

You didn't care that CDProjectRed released the Witcher 3 with unfinished graphics though.  How can we keep believing in you if you can't even adhere to your own standards Vader?  Is this really how you want people to think of you?

That makes me almost interested.  I'm all for single-player puzzle platformers.  Nobody seems to be writing about that though so I guess it's more of a side-note.  The meat of the game is the online multi-player I guess and I wasn't crazy about the demo, so I'm still in the "No" camp.  Kirby, Yoshi and Mario Kart will be my WiiU summer games.

Not into FPS. Can't play online all that much lately. Not for me.

If I go online, it's for Mortal Kombat.

Don't even have a U hooked up at the moment anyway.

Will connect it again for Xeno, Zelda or Shin Megami. No real solid reason before...

I would have settled for a Witcher 3 that didn't crash.

Yes, the title should be: "cause Nintendo ain't finishing it day one".

Other than that I think it looks wonderful. I probably wouldn't buy it anyway, though.

I almost pre-ordered the Wii U Splatoon bundle, then decided it would be better to get a PS Vita... and then I decided it would be better to buy 3DS/PS4 games and clothes... and Dark Souls II DLC for Foolz.

broken games, bad graphics, day one patches, DLC I can deal with. Not giving us modds that are clearly done, grrr.

I would have bought it today (Friday) but everyone in the town is not breaking streetdate, so now I have to wait until Monday.

Played the first 2 single player missions. It's okay, more of a solid puzzle platformer which I feel was the wrong way to go. It could have been a sick third person shooter with a story, weapon switches, full environments etc. They should consider doing a full on COD style shooter. Instead you jump from section to section like Mario Galaxy, do a couple of simple sections then move on.

These are only thee first couple though so things could get better. What I played of the multiplayer was way more fun.

Good news inklings, you can play online with friends on day 1, it works like Mario Kart- you just join a friend online Happy

Played more, the single player gets better, it's all rather solid but wont wow anyone. Pootling about the lobby it's patently clear this is all geared towards pushing you into turf wars and leveling up. All the shops won't even deal with you till you hit level 4. Controls are highly polished, base gameplay is super fun. Single player needs more epic and long ranged weapons etc, voice acting, just needs to be treated like a big budget FPS.
